Animes to watch?

I like animes where the character is terrible at beginning and becomes stronger, more OP with every fight, must have some gore in it like blood n stuff . Something like Akame ga kill / Tokyo Ghoul .

DanMachi and Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei are two that come to mind. The latter has probably the most OP character ever, that slowly reveals what he's capable of.

Shigeki no Kyoujin (attack on titan). Gore and blood all over the place. A very recent one.

 

Deadman Wonderland. Just a hint: their weapons are their actual blood, so...

 

Death note... kinda. Well, it isn't that much "gore", but there are plenty of deaths.

I'd say you might enjoy Code Geass. The guy is pretty weak (physically) but gets some OP powers. Same goes for Death Note. <-nevermind, doesn't have a lot/any gore

@JoySkeet If you want a series where the character starts off pretty wimpy but becomes really badass then watch Psycho Pass. It's my favourite series and pretty gorey too

Basically you want Zero to Hero stories that have a fast pace? These are all off the top of my head

• Accel World(no gore)
• Ao no Exorcist(no gore)
• Ben-To(no gore)
• BTOOM!(has gore and a dark theme)
• Campione!(no gore)
• Guilty Crown(it's an up and down story so not really OP the whole time)
• K(or some call it Project K, also check out the sequel movie and 2nd season)
• Hidan no Aria(no gore)
• Infinite Stratos(no gore)
• Zero no Tsukaima(no gore)

edit: If you want really extreme action and uncensored gore try reading mangas and start with GANTZ

 

you can always watch the anime of GANTZ but that was a flop and a uber censored adaptation and a stupid non-canon ending

Deadman Wonderland is pretty craphouse imo. The story is so dumb straight off the get-go and the soundtrack is literally like 3 pieces that are repeated every episode. Not saying there aren't enjoyable moments in it but for the most part it'll leave you feeling frustrated.

I kind of agree with you on story part. Though OP requested blood and protagonist shitty-to-golden development, which are 2 strong points of the anime, so I figure I'd recommend that.

 

But you are right, as a general recomendation, this wouldn't make it my top 10, maybe even top 20 (if I remember that many titles) list.
