    28c Intel W-3175X Reviews; $1700 motherboard?

Ahh yes, The GTX 480, followed by 3x 290s, followed by 2x 1080ti. Quite the ride.
  2. Found another one! 2D2204BGMCWH2_33/29_N (link: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/14294257) userbenchmark.com/UserRun/142942… 4 cores, 4 threads? This one doesn't match up with Adored's leaks tho. Also, BG = 105W? A 4c/4t with 105 Watts??? Another thing: 2 Chiplets for 4 cores? Probably a fake, this should be an intel chipset and the biosdate is 2011
  3. @Taf the Ghost Damn you're spot on then! Well I'll be darned! I guess we will indeed need some more space on that cpu
  4. I kinda expect the I/O Die to shrink until then since it's still at 14nm, making space for a third possible chiplet. This would mean that they would not require more space until Zen4. (As long as 3 chiplets + I/O is enough for AMD

Retailer Leaks (...Teases?) Coffeelake CPU prices

So basicly, you are buying a HEDT(-specced) CPU on a consumer platform for HEDT price?

3DMark score for RTX 2080 Ti leaks

Nobody cares about raytracing if it makes the game run at 30fps. I rather let them improve on that tech and wait for the next gen.

Nintendo Switch Online Service costs money

Weren't there like 2 threads that were pretty much the same already?
  8. Problem is, Intel is manufacturing huge monolithic dies, by design the costs are much higher and the yields are much lower. Long-term this is not sustainable
  9. Pretty much all 1950X can do 4,2ghz. TR / Ryzen are fairly "lottery-free", you cannot overclock them much over stock tho and they don't really respond to voltage at all unless you go -100°C.
  10. I've run a 7980XE at 4,6ghz @ 1,147v all cores stable. It was binned and delidded tho.

    Amd thread ripper leak

AMD CPUs dont really do well on phase change coolers, there's only a noticible gain in speeds beyond -100°C, before that the highest you can hit is pretty much 4,4ghz if you're lucky. Ask Buildzoid, he can confirm.

    Amd thread ripper leak

I felt like shit throwing away the TR1 packaging. I really don't want to go through an existencial crysis just because I have to decide whether to keep or throw away....
  13. Uhm, this isn't news. This block is already half a year old.

    [Build Log] Walletripper - Titan V / 7980XE / SMA8-A

First of all, the new SMA8-As come with tempered glass, so yeah, that's what it is I've contacted a local laser etching workshop and got it done professionally. Costed a bit over 50 bucks but it's well worth it. A note on the side: mirror the image so that the laser etching is on the inside of the glass. (Also: if you can, go with tempered glass over acrylic, maby even smoked tempered glass if you are getting a panel made anyways. )
