It's time to pick week 65's series! As usual the poll will be up for 48-ish hours.

The Seven Deadly Sins
Current

This series was recommended by @Xsinar saying "It has a lot of action and lovable characters that makes you want more. It's a recommended watch for all the Shounen Anime lovers out there. It has it's downsides but Melodias and his Pig won't fail to keep you entertained. P.S. Beware of Groping"

Synopsis
In a world similar to the European Middle Ages, the feared yet revered Holy Knights of Britannia use immensely powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms. However, a small subset of the Knights supposedly betrayed their homeland and turned their blades against their comrades in an attempt to overthrow the ruler of Liones. They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumors continued to persist that these legendary knights, called the "Seven Deadly Sins," were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves staged a coup d’état, and thus became the new, tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of Liones.

Based on the best-selling manga series of the same name, Nanatsu no Taizai follows the adventures of Elizabeth, the third princess of the Kingdom of Liones, and her search for the Seven Deadly Sins. With their help, she endeavors to not only take back her kingdom from the Holy Knights, but to also seek justice in an unjust world.

Sunday Without God
Recent

This series was recommended by @TetraSky saying "or the simple reason that it's one of those anime that had me captivated from the very beginning and I couldn't stop watching, just had to see all the episodes in one go. It's an Adventure/Action anime that provide a well-told story and should cater to a relatively large audience, as it doesn't really show the gory stuff most of the time and the "drama" isn't that large (nothing compared to, say, Clannad). Don't be put off by the title as I first was, it's not a religious anime in the least. (Unless you consider Death as being part of religion)"

Synopsis
God abandoned the world on Sunday. As a result, nobody in the world can die or reproduce. A little girl, Ai, is the gravekeeper for a village. She has prepared 47 graves for the eventual deaths of every member of the village. Later, a man who identifies himself as "Hampnie Hambart, the 'Man-eating Toy'," which is coincidentally the name that Ai's mother left behind as the name of her father, arrives in the village and slaughters everybody. Just what is going on?

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Post-2007

This series was recommended by @gastew15 & @ElfenSky saying "Overall the visuals are really nice, the character design is also really great, the story is pretty alright, but the characters keep the mostly unchanging story interesting, which leads into the last really point. The main character Lelouch is one of my favorite male protagonists and many others for one pretty simple reason, he actually has a complex character structure and make himself seem human which pulls you right into wanting to see what he does and sympathize with him." & " I like to think about it as a Death Note with mechas. It has a very smart protagonist who is a strategic and tactical genius, who gets a magical power and starts his glorious quest to topple an empire that controls a third of the world. The musical score is also very good. The national anthem of the "bad guys" always sends shivers down my spine. It is an all time favorite of mine that I rewatch yearly. (I could add more, but I really don't think I can without spoiling anything)"

Synopsis
On August 10th of the year 2010 the Holy Empire of Britannia began a campaign of conquest, its sights set on Japan. Operations were completed in one month thanks to Britannia's deployment of new mobile humanoid armor vehicles dubbed Knightmare Frames. Japan's rights and identity were stripped away, the once proud nation now referred to as Area 11. Its citizens, Elevens, are forced to scratch out a living while the Britannian aristocracy lives comfortably within their settlements. Pockets of resistance appear throughout Area 11, working towards independence for Japan.

Lelouch, an exiled Imperial Prince of Britannia posing as a student, finds himself in the heart of the ongoing conflict for the island nation. Through a chance meeting with a mysterious girl named C.C., Lelouch gains his Geass, the power of the king. Now endowed with absolute dominance over any person, Lelouch may finally realize his goal of bringing down Britannia from within!

Azumanga Daioh
Pre-2007

This series was recommended by @gastew15 saying "I mean it's a classic, Daioh is pretty much regarded as one of the best slice of life anime out there, myself included. As far as story goes it's pretty much the usual were you follow around the characters with 'unique' personalities around, in this case 6 girls, and see what interesting situations each day brings them!"

Synopsis
Azumanga Daioh is about high school life through the eyes of six girls with unusual personalities: Chiyo (the 10-year-old genius), Osaka (the resident airhead), Sakaki (the shy one prone to cat bites), Tomo (the loose cannon), Yomi (the short-tempered one) and Kagura (the resident jock).

Heaven's Memo Pad
Random

This series was recommended by @SHAD0WxF1R3 "It is a detective anime following a young high school student with great plot and suspense, as well as some comic relief."

Synopsis
Narumi Fujishima isn't your typical high school student. He's never really fit in and has become increasingly more isolated from his fellow classmates. But he's not alone, and when Ayaka, the sole member of the Gardening Club, introduces him to the reclusive girl who lives above the ramen shop, Narumi enters a whole new secret world. Alice is a NEET, someone who is Not Employed, being Educated or in Training, but as Narumi quickly discovers, that doesn't mean that she does nothing all day.

In between tending to her small army of stuffed bears, Alice is an expert hacker and a very exclusive private detective. To his surprise, Narumi finds himself drafted as one of the strange-but-elite team of associates that Alice has assembled from her NEET acquaintances. Together they'll battle gangs, thieves, murderers, and drug lords. And in the middle of it all, Narumi will find his life changing forever!

The synopsis for CG, straight from the intro of the show.

The date was August 10 in the year 2010 of the imperial calendar. The Holy Britannian Empire had just declared war upon Japan. The far east island nation had held fast to its neutrality and now Britannia looms as the world's only superpower. Rights to Japan's underground resources became a hotly disputed issue, straining the already deep-rooted diplomatic tensions between the two sides. In the deciding battle for the mainland, Britannian forces introduced into combat the Humanoid Autonomous Amored Knight, known as the [K]nightmare Frame. The enemy forces were far greater than anticipated and the [K]nightmares obliterated the Japanese line of defense in the mainland with little effort. Japan became a dominion of the empire; the country was stripped of its freedom, its rights, and its name. Area 11, the defeated and once proud nation of Japan was rechristened with a mere number.

Oh god... Sunday Without God is on the list, but there's a couple other good ones along with it... Eh f(ck it.

Voted Sunday Without God, because it's a great little story, with beautiful music and animation, that was overlooked by many, for what I'm guessing is probably the title which put off some people. (I know I was hesitant to watch it at first for that, thought it was just going to be some kind of religious anime or some atheist propaganda... NOPE it wasn't.) Would be great if it got a second season...

Code Geass will probably win though, considering how insanely popular it was.

"If I grant you power, could you go on? I propose a deal—in exchange for this power, you must agree to make my one wish come true. Accept this contract, and you accept its conditions. While living in the world of humans, you will live unlike any other: a different providence, a different time, a different life. The Power of the King will condemn you to a life of solitude. Are you prepared for this?"

This is easily in my top five anime. Everyone should watch it regardless of what wins the vote :)

Seven Deadly Sins is 100% absolutely positively the best Shounen anime to ever exist, it is absolutely beautifully crafted with incredible characters, immaculate fights, and an awesome story.

I've never wanted a second season of something so bad, and I cannot wait until 2016 when it comes out, it is absolutely beautiful.

It was a unique approach to the topic however, there's an easier way to do it...

so I'm going to have to scrap half the thesis and write it again... due on Friday 20 Nov 15...

Hey we have some good choices this week. I know some of these have been in polls before but have they really never won.

Wait thinking about it I would have voted for them so there is no way they would win.

Surprised Sunday Without God is doing so poor. Is it possibly due to the US name?

I think it probably more to do with the image then the name. That may be because I have little faith that people even read the names lol. Anyways it was a good anime but I voted heavens memo pad which was also good. I was just surprised that code geass wasn't winning.
