not another silly playing with Youtube video options crap, what is this "premiere" garbage, either a video is live or it's NOT. don't do this garbage. freaking worse then figuring out how to do stuff on Iphones after 10 years on Android

That first argument was mindblowingly awful. An iphone is safer because you can't download anything not from the apple store? I mean that statement is literally true, but in the same way that a car without an engine is safer than one with. Safer, but not better at all.

Hey @James! I actually like this "Premiere" thing. However, I feel that it would make a great deal more sense if you put a brief note explaining how premieres work, just below the sponsor news. Overall, enjoyed the video, and it made a lot of sense as an android user surrounded by ios loving college students.

because "premiere's" for NON-LIVE daily upload videos are RETARDED, this shit has no place in a regular upload schedule and it completely ruins the purpose of being subscribed to this section of the forum (getting access to the unlisted video, just minutes early). Not even gonna finish watching the video because I refuse to support this "premiere" crap.

then they just need to keep to there normal upload schedule of Noon their time. Not everyone uses Youtube Notifications, nor do they work right half the time you do use them, but the Forum notifications work so I know when a thread is posted here and I can get it while it's still unlisted. Premiere makes being in this section of the forum pointless and greatly reduces odds of getting a comment in early (which lets be honest thats a large part of the reason for notifications in the first place). If videos are gonna be announced on Youtube there is no reason to come to the forum everyday and no reason to watch it "live" which gives me reasons NOT to watch and drives away viewership from the channel, because now i'll only start a video I might actually wanna watch instead of playing every single one of them.

While apple products may be able to share/send texts across devices. Android has messages.android.com
It Can be accessed From any device. it can be accessed form Mac, Windows, and Linux. So I don't know what your talking about when you spoke about their ability to share texts.

I think we should keep it 50/50 for "balanced".

 

I love the channel, and have no grips on the content/presenters. I just love when people say things should be "even and balanced", when really, they mean some people don't mind dirt kicked in their face and some do. Literally, camping/climbing/dirt bike riding is awesome... but we don't pretend they don't get dirt kicked in their face for "balance".

 

So be honest. Bad points in Android and in IOS, good points in Google and Apple devices. Neither is perfect. But for now... balanced like and dislike scores on the Videos, just as on the iOS VS Android devices. XD

Some of those arguments are a stretch at minimum. For example:

  • How is "android is mostly open source" an argument for better iPhone? Like what... the fact that Android may have (and not even always do) some parts that are 3rd party locked is bad, but somehow iOS that is completely locked by Apple is somehow a good thing?
  • "no 3rd party apps on iOS makes it secure". So if USA bans cars it will be good because there will be no accidents? Don't want crap on your phone don't install something you are not sure about from an APK you downloaded from www.totallylegitfreeapps. com . Then if you want to... you can! And how is this bad?
  • 6 years longevity huh? Sure... if you get it 6 times to iSpot for repairs (or once or twice to Louis Rossmann). Or "you can just upgrade" ;)
  • Migration argument is also wired. So when you go from Apple to Apple it's great. Well... if you go from X to X or Y to Y or any other SAME BRAND to SAME BRAND it's also seamless. If you went from Apple to Samsung that wouldn't work would it? Then again even with different brands Google ecosystem makes it almost seamless...

I'm not sure on the longevity thing... Like, can I see numbers? And cost? Will a £800 iphone last longer than any £800 Android (samsung, HTC, Nokia, Sony... oh, I'm showing how old I am :P). I have a Samsung, dropped it down the stairs, phone is 4 or more years old, still going strong. Yeah, I've broken the plastic trim on the edges... but NO CRACKS because the plastic flexed, not the screen (into a million pieces).
