Anyway to make this build cheaper with same/better parts?

Budget (including currency): £900 GBP

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1080p High / 1440p Medium Gaming (Minecraft, Titanfall 2, COD, Fortnite, Roblox + Roblox Studio)

Other details https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/XHVCQPBasically my friend wants a future-proof gaming pc. My friend already has a Windows key but does not have a monitor. He wants to fit a monitor in while under £900. The GPU needs to have at least 8GB VRAM, AM5 CPU, ATX Mid-tower case (or bigger), 1TB SSD (preferably fast so Gen 4 or Gen 5) and good cooling (he doesn't really care about RGB or Noise). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Friend has to stop using phrases and words like that, especially on that budget. You arent going to get any "future proofing" on a 900$ build, you are going to get a PC that does what you need it to and thats it. Will it enable them to upgrade down the line? Sure, but thats not what future proofing means.

I would look at used GPUS rather then buying a 6600, its not a good GPU at all.

You do not need Gen4/5 SSD. They are pretty pointless for gaming, Direct storage still has not shown to be worth it on PC.

Dram id get CL 30 6000, it shouldnt be much more.

if you want a higher wattage psu for more 'future proofing' then you'll have to go used for the PSU

won't make a huge difference, Gen 5 is definitely not possible in this budget and the gen 4 drive will have to be DRAM less at this budget so it won't make a huge difference in loading times (half a second MAYBE)

that ram is quite bad for am5, 6000 CL30 is only a bit more and much better for am5

7500F is £60 less with the same performance and you only lose the iGPU of the 7600

H5 Flow is an OK case but when a 903 MAX is the same price but with MUCH better airflow it's not good value

A 6600 is not a bad GPU and will absolutely play anything properly coded very well at 1080p.

you fit a whole monitor in thre?

I got a list with better parts: (no GPU included that's why it all costs less)

It's honestly great you're here, the P3 Plus isn't as good as the similarly priced SN770 from WD, quite the opposite. Or you could get cheaper WD Blue SN570 and still be overall on par or better than P3 Plus.

You can also get the MSI motherboard, but if you can get better GPU or get a monitor.

So if I try to fit random monitor that's I hope decent and a GPU, remove cooler, get SN570 and should fit under 900.

But I think @filpo's build is better.

His build keeps CPU cooler and maybe even has better monitor for cheaper.
