I'll do just about anything to keep food on the table and tires on my car, cause those things only last a couple laps.

Triple build and upgrade with a whole lot of watercooling

I love custom work and this looks really cool! Side note - putting two DDC pumps in series will not increase the flow rate, only the max head pressure. -
Xeon E5-2640V3 and CPU connectors on my mainboard
Cereal5 replied to frozensun's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Just plug in the 8 pin and you'll be fine. The extra 4 pin is used for high core count CPUs and extreme overclocking. -
I'd be more worried about your GPU at 79C, but even that is fine. I wouldn't worry about an exhaust fan, since the cooler blows right out the back anyways. I mean it might act kind of as a push/pull if you did have it, not that that generally makes a difference. /shrug your choice.

I guess if you're buying a $270 case then money is not really an issue, but you can save a couple bucks by going with an Intel 660p SSD. Dunno why the 960/970 drives are so expensive. I would recommend going with 300-3200 MHz RAM, I'm sure you've heard Ryzen likes fast RAM, and now that it's so cheap that shouldn't be an issue. The only other thing I might recommend is going with 32GB of RAM if you'll be doing some editing, since ITX boards only have 2 slots So you can't really upgrade without buying new RAM all together.

LTT Official Folding Month 2019!!!

It's definitely possible the display is shit, it's an age old monitor. I'm using the same driver in my main desktop and haven't had a problem, is it still possible that's an issue? It's the Oct 1 driver from nvidia -

It's a 1080 FE that is confirmed good in other PCs. It's sitting at idle literally just displaying afterburner and the FAH client on a 1680x1050 monitor. -

Yeah but it fits 3 wide so... With the event badges it wouldn't actually change height. -

Stock speeds on everything. It's possible it could be a bad monitor but I'd be surprised. The GPU driving the monitor isn't even folding, the 2070S in the second slot is, so even if it crashed, it shouldn't affect the display. -
