Wich CPU do you have, is your slider on full and is it cooled properly?

3600x and have it at medium right now.  I have a NH-D15 cooling it

That ETA looks about right for 3600x.

D15 should be well capable of 3600x on full thrust. This will also use your GPU all the time and (how much more is dependent on your system) a bit more CPU resources.

I moved it over to full power.  I don't see the temps getting past 69c at peak.  Hovers aroung 66c

for rįyzen 3600x medium and full power settings are same (FAH doesn't like large prime numbers)

Well isn't that interesting.

Wouldn't the 3600x be a composite and not a prime number?

For some reason it thought my 3700x thread count on both medium and full should be 14/16.  Had to back that off by 6.

I'm sure if you ask @Gorgon he'll be able to go into it further, having a larger sample size with a wider variety of hardware. But at least for borderline high end cards, I'm not able to note any variance so long as they're both well ventilated, frequency and power delivery are stable, etc.

When I wast testing out my 6 GPU rig I tested Windows and found that even a RTX 2080 Super didn’t see a drop in Performance on PCIe3 x4

it has 6/12, but you are folding wiht GPU (default uses 1 ) so you leave with 11 and that it defaults cpu to 10 when you get a job (that equals medium stting)

FAH doesn't care about the lanes you can use 4 2X lanes and still get the same amount of PPD as an 16X lane, just use PSU riser powered extension ...

This thread at Folding Form suggests that on high-end Pascal and Turing under Windows you will see a loss starting at 4 PCIe lanes. Linux, not as much, and their conclusion is backed up by people testing over long periods.

2 Lanes are likely sufficient for a mid-range 1070/2060. It will work for 2080s and above but you will start seeing losses in the double digit percentages.

This is with my watercooled 8700K OC. The 1080 handles the GPU WU's nicely.

Actually they’ve had to block Navi from some of the openMM22 cores due to OpenCL issues in Gromacs. They’re testing each GPU WU in Beta to validate there are no issues.

Having said that the earlier AMD cards should be ok but the issue seems limited to Large atom count WUs that mid-tier cards might not see.
