Is there a way to control another node in your local network? I noticed that you can add "clients" but when I add them, it just sits there connecting... Even tho there online and I entered the right info, and opend the port numbers.

You need to set the ip range allowed to connect to the nodes on each of them, by default it only allows localhost

Well, getting much less WUs today than yesterday.

I have gotten like 135k points the last 24 hours on my desktop that was set to folding probably 16 of those hours, and should normally do 1,3 million PPD.

So probably did two WUs or something?

Did you quit and restart the client after setting it (not only the control interface, but the actual client in the system tray)?

For the node/server? Yes... the client no.

Well the naming is confusing - FahClient is actually the server of this interface, and FahControl the client - You need to restart both FahControl and FahClient for the changes to be taken into account (normally there should be no need to restart FahControl, but I noticed that it usually never reconnected when leaving it open and bouncing FahClient at least on the local machine)

As someone new to folding it seems like the hardest part with hitting the "goal" or any meaningful work is manually resetting the attempt timer every hour or so. It seems like they should fix the counter to simply max at 10 minutes versus hours.

I am folding for 3 years now. I have never seen that timer go up. Until last week. When so many new people joined the fight!

But yeah maybe they should. It would put a lot more pressure on the servers. And they are already struggling.

That's why we need papa Linus to setup a high bandwidth dream folding work unit and collection server cluster! :)
