Technically not that wrong if you take downloading file as task and how it's status is.

  2. Watched it a few days ago and it was enjoyable. Action scenes were mostly good and locations were interesting. For the plot and premise of the movie though you really need to be able to switch your brain off for 2 hours and just go with the flow without thinking about how unrealistic and stupid it is. It's basically a Crank remake with Mary Elizabeth Winstead instead of Jason Statham.
  3. Not really. It's 4.2GHz all core (which was its turbo speed anyway) with an undervolt. Cool > fast
  4. They only told you that in the hopes of banning you for at least a day.
  5. Was the power cable fully inserted in to the back of the power supply? It might not be a short circuit in the system but just poor contact on the power cable.

  7. Thread locked. Please check our Community Standards and Off Topic Posting Guidelines. No pointless or trolling posts. First of all, ALL the items of the Community Standards apply to the Off-Topic section. The Off-Topic section is NOT for junk posts, SPAM, trolling and just any old thing. The Off-Topic section IS for productive threads that may not fall into one of the already laid out sections of the forum. At all times though, this is a tech centered and focused forum.
  8. I'm not against Apple or Google incorporating new features in to their devices that were previously provided for by third party apps, or "sherlocking" as it's called. It would stifle progress if they couldn't incorporate new features just because third party apps were already doing it. I remember on an old (very old) phone I needed a dedicated third party torch app to use my camera flash as a torch, now my current phone just has it as a built in feature and I can just toggle it off and on from the quick access menu and it's so much better. Having swipe keyboard built in as an option for the wa
  9. Thread cleaned again. No fanboy arguments. If you see someone instigating fanboy arguments don't get caught up in it. Encourage the freedom of expression and exchange of information in a mature and responsible manner. "Don't be a dick" - Wil Wheaton. "Be excellent to each other" - Bill and Ted. No trolling or flame-bait. This includes topics such as AMD vs NVIDIA, "company X sucks", and religious debates
  10. If that's all you are doing wouldn't it make more sense to buy a cheap second hand laptop or tablet instead? Or just use your mobile phone. A UPS would still be a good idea for your desktop if you're facing frequent power outages but it doesn't really seem like you need to be on your desktop PC during those times.
  11. Are 1GB GDDR6 memory chips in short supply? I would have thought 2GB chips would have had less supply but maybe Samsung/Micron have switched the bulk of their production over to 2GB chips and it's just easier to get 2GB chips? Otherwise I don't really see much point having a 12GB RTX 2060 in 2022. Most people would be just as happy with a cheap RTX 2060 6GB card as long as they can actually buy it. If the extra VRAM raises the price of the card significantly then it almost defeats the purpose.
