Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Yay, was just a jet that was clogged in the left carb! Only thing was that I pretty much had to tear the entire bike down to get to it...

In order:

Seat

Upper leftside faring

Bottom faring

Rear faring

Battery

Removing the fuel lines from the tank to fueltap

Tank

Tank attachment point

Fueltap

Airbox

Detatch throttle

Detatch choke

And then after the bike is just the naked frame, wheels and engine you can work the carbs off xD

Got an oil and filter swap done and cleaned the chain as well so I got a lot done today!

Took a test ride aswell and honestly I feel I need the lessons before I ride much more. It starts pulling at 4k and keeps going all the way to the limiter at 11k. First gear at 10k is 80km/h and the bike is just screaming but after 9k it's just holding on as best I can because I can't handle this bike nearly well enough yet :/ had a bunch of fun in the ~3min I was riding though, but it's very difrent from my moped that's for sure!

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I run R888R's on my Escort and I've been very impressed.

Have to used Nt01's? My concern about r888r's is that it'll be too similar to the r888.  Based on feedback from people I trust for track tire feed back, the r888 heat cycled out a lot quicker than the nt01, also more edgy and less forgiving, and grip isn't as consistent. While the nt01 is .2-.5 slower but it's consistently sticky till it's down to the cords and an easier tire to drive. the r888r supposedly fixed those issues but it hasn't been confirmed to me

I can't compare then too the Nt01 as I have never used those but I did run R888 before these on the same car, these don't heat cycle nowhere near as bad but it's still there, i can get away with swapping the fronts to rear after three sessions and get another two out of a set but after that they are toast. the problem I have is is sightly diferant as the car is so rear tire heavy with 540 nothing is going to last long enough for the cycling to become a big problem.

Figured you were from the EU. Here in the states we never go any of the Ford cosworth cars.  Believe this is the rally legend you were talking about. Audi quatros rek'd the rally world in the 80's. Either way I'd take a Subaru 22b over both of these cars if I was going to go rally racing.

Funny you should bring that up. My father had a ur non sport when I was in my last year of school, i remember where ever we went people would talk to him about it, it was my dad that got me into cars and I always think of him when I see one.

Lots of different rally cars from different makes. I'd buy a Subaru, vw/Audi, Ford RS cosworth, or a Evo. Not sure what else I'd choose from but there are a lot of good options out there.

Oh wew, I just found out how someone family (in my year) 'owns' (is team principle) a racing team with her older brother as the driver, for the BTCC (british touring car championship). Too bad I'm not really interested in the BTCC (or WTCC)...

Oh nice, I know a driver that races in the Renault Clio Cup UK Championship (one of the support championships of the BTCC). He's called Max Coates he races for Team Pyro and is doing really well, he's 2nd in the standings and actually got a win today as well.
