  1. Wee test of Google photo's "auto" versus Capture one's "auto" enhancers.

    Original Jpeg:

    Google photos:

    Capture one:

Think it's safe to assume that if you want a one button edit, Google photos is probably the better option as there's nothing wrong with it. Capture one slightly blows out the top centre/right and is a little too bright as a whole (IMO) however, the colours are slightly nicer to my eyes (and this specific monitor). Of course, in an ideal world, I would manually edit each RAW photo but ya know, being able to dump photos into Google photos, select all, press one button and share, all done on a phone, does also sound great 🙃

Come on...I just want it nowwwwwww 😄

Wonder if I will have buyers remorse tho...still debating whether I should have gone for the 5C or K&F BA225 (a 1KG carbon fiber tripod that can also be converted to a monopod). The 5C is around 150grammes lighter, they're both similar in size, the 5C generally has slightly more favourable reviews in terms of quality but the included head is apparently kinda shite. Oh, the 5C was also £35 cheaper (£65 vs £100) but given the K&F includes a better head (will cost £20 to replace with a smallrig), is infinitely more adjustable, claims support up-to 8kg (over 4kg of the 5C) and can be converted to a monopod, that £35 difference no longer seem so bad.

Prolly will end up buying the the K&F as well and comparing both, then returning one of them 🙃

  3. When you get called out for "mansplaining" because your friend (knows nothing about aviation) started to talk about having to fly on the 737 Max and was making wrong assumptions so you decide to give some input, and then another friend calls you out for mansplaining 😅

I usually couldn't care less about accusations like that but I am however genuinely curious how that can be perceived as mansplaining? Granted, they didn't specifically ask for input but if you're going to make incorrect assumptions about something flying related, in-front of a flight instructor/pilot (which they do all know), I would say that I am in a good position to provide inputs to rectify any incorrect assumption which IMO, common sense should prevail here.

Ah well, what do I know? I'm just a meerkat after all :old-eyeroll:

Ummmmm...you kinda, sorta voluntarily came here sooooo...stop mansplaining what you find to be mansplaining? Geez. :old-tongue:

I can't come up with a friendly way of phrasing this that doesn't sound like an insult but it sounds like you have a friend who "educates" themself using social media rather than books.

One of those situations where I wouldn't even consider letting their insult bother me.

Mansplaining is kind of one of those things driven by emotion not facts and logic.

  4. Latest windows update...

    - Introduces cursor stuttering? Check (like only the cursor stutters, fine in video games or say watching a video, no stuttering)

    - Broken my soundcard drivers? Check

    - Broken my GPU drivers? Check (had to DDU then reinstall)

    - Broken Gigabyte RGB software thingy? Check

    - Spotify now renders incorrectly? Check

    - Powertoys isn't working correctly? Check

    Thanks microsoft! 😄

Oh that makes sense. I reinstalled razer synapse thrice and charged the mouse to a 100% and tried to use it wired and moved the receiver closer.
I thought my mouse broke, well thanks Microsoft.

    3. FakeKGB

      laughs in Hackintosh

I can still use Windows (and when working on my Mario Bros. Wii hack I'll need it) but I like macOS so I'm daily driving it.

Aha, yeah, that's what I initially thought, my mouse was broken but then quickly realised that it was Windows being funky as when I decided to play a lil video games, there was no stuttering what-so-ever.

I'm just confused by why the cursor stutters but the tracking is clearly okay? Welp

  5. God damn, I had already started SS shit-posting in 2018... Kinda what happened to me. With everyone I interacted with relatively extensively going rather inactive/straight up leaving, didn't feel a point in remaining active anymore.
  6. Indeed, Mr Legendarypoet, that I had "unintentionally" mixed him up with W-L because for some reason, my brain remembered him as having W-L's PFP.
  7. Yep, Dexxter was always the very first person to answer 90% of "troubleshooting" or "build help" threads. He kinda replaced the 2016 squad who were the usual suspects in giving inputs to those kinda threads. Nah, in 2017, I had already stopped being all that active and quite a lot of the more active 2015/2016/2017 members had either moved on or stopped being so active. I myself will probably continue writing pointless status updates and lurk around.
  8. Meh, they both kinda died off the day they became mods. To be fair, most become less active publicly once they become mods. You were indeed! Alongside the likes of Enderman, chinchilla dorito boi, Scaley dragon ect. but ya'll have all remained relatively active. Ofc, you can't forget zMeul as well, deffo didn't get into some heated and petty debates with him back then
  9. #BringBackTheGoodOl'DaysOf2017-ish. Back when we had everyone like Thekeemo, Dexxter and ummmm...usernames that I can't remember for some reason, whilst the likes of PCguy and Mr Birdie man were wayyyyyy more active.
  10. Reddit in a nutshell...

Step 1: Someone posts something controversial

    Step 2: Petty debate occurs

Step 3: You chip in with how there's clearly a cultural difference issue here so both sides are correct as it's all down to where you're from and what's the norm, which is also known as ViEwInG tHe BiGgEr pIcTurE lIkE aNy NoRmAl pErSoN

Step 4: Get 1K+ rep overnight

I'll go back to lurking on discord and stealing sharing cute n cuddly pics from r/aww and r/seals.

Oh I know, there was just simply a 2:1 ratio in terms of upvotes to downvotes (i.e. more people agreed than disagreed). Mind you, I couldn't care less about my reddit account. Only have it so I don't have to search up individual subreddits...until someone is complaining about something really really really stupid and the urge to step in is too much.

Just realised how incredibly close it is from being able to fit a 25mm fan 😞

Would result in both better static pressure for rad but also more airflow for PSU,RAM, NVMe SSD, VRMs...the lot.

The watercooling temps are amazing but there's simply not enough airflow. The silverstone FN123 is just shockingly bad to be used as a slim rad fan (i.e. it pushes no air) so guess it's time to decide between Arctic p12 slim and Noctua A12X15. Also going to slap a 120mm into the back to provide more airflow. Now the real question is intake or outtake...

  12. Realtek, can your drivers not differentiate four-pole TRRS ports/jacks and three-pole TRS ports/jacks? If I plug a set of 4-pole earphones into the front panel of my NR200P (has a TRRS port), I have to manually tell the drivers "mic-in" on the first prompt then "headphones" on the second prompt else only one works 😅

  13. Jesus Royal mail...

If its class 1 or 2 non-signed for or anything that's not tracked, you're looking at a delay of 4~ days 😅

  14. SX8200 on Gigabyte B350I Aorus Pro mobo

SX8200 on MSI B350M mortar arctic

    Say what now?

Confused screaming - Album on Imgur

  15. Dotcha just love it when recommended settings for a Fury means low everything except shadows, which is high, whilst you get 100fps+? 😅

Guess that's just what happens you only have 4GB of vRAM so recommended automatically makes it <4GB vRAM utilisation, which means mostly low settings...
