Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

How to have fun in a large FWD wagon with no power:

Go out in the forest and take corners way to fucking hot, smash the gas and let the FWD pull you out of the 45 degree slide you got into while spinning the steering wheel like you are on a ship

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

awd is more fun that way, you throw the car into a turn and pray that the awd system works and the car goes the way you want it to xD

I believe that I have become anything but...a car enthusiast. I love my cheap little car. It's a 2008 Saturn Astra XR. If it breaks down, I'll just buy another car. I can slam the door and dents or scratches don't bother me the slightest. The car is rather comfy with heated seats and a panoramic sunroof. The fuel economy is excellent too. I also don't see the point of having a fast and good handling vehicle when speed limits are rather...low! It never really goes over 110 km/h in Canada. You go to Europe and almost every highway is 130 km/h.

As a French guy, I actually loathe the necessity of owning a vehicle. North American cities are built like trash. You can't go anywhere without burning fuel. There are more roads and parking lots than there are people. There is no space to walk around because cars are all over the place and sidewalks are an afterthought. I can honestly say that Paris feels vastly less crowded, spacious and quieter than a small Canadian town of 4000 people without sidewalks. The town of Bonnyville drives me angry. It may sound absurd, but Paris isn't that crowded in some areas. There are quiet neighbourhoods where everything you need is at walking distance. You don't see many cars in the narrow streets because driving is a pain.

I just like how my car shows the world how much I loathe cars and driving in general. It's small, cheap, bland and slow. It's from a defunct brand that built the most forgettable cars called Saturn.

You sir have never have never driven a Cadillac 60 special, 500 cubic inches of driver engagement, and enough float to force you to be engaged so you don't go off the damn road. Driving modern highway speeds in one of those keeps you so attentive your butthole will pucker up to the point it sucks up that pillowy leather seat you are sitting on.

So good to see the old DBR9 racing again. Unsurprisingly an un-BOPd new generation vantage is faster than the old V8 Vantage GTE, possibly as fast as a current BOP'd GTE as well.
