It'd probably be more realistic to optimize the software instead of making batteries larger. A great example is IOS vs android and battery sizes. Android has significantly gotten better in the past years but still fall behind.

Ok I wouldn't mind carrying around a phone this big if they made the battery slightly smaller 12,000 mAh is plenty and then add full size 1/4 headphone jack and a DAC. Seriously because stacking my DAP and phone together is roughly the same size and a battery that last days would be awesome. Am I crazy maybe I love big batteries and audio too much lol.

Those of us that dont mind a larger phone to have more battery life dont mean we're willing to accept just keeping a two inch battery pack in our pockets, because in that case then we would just carry around a battery pack. What the overwhelming majority of us want is a phone thats like 50-75% thicker, and that volume is used for battery space, so we can have a 70-80% larger battery.

i know this is a bad idea for regular consumers , but , just imagine getting lost on a trip somewhere deep in a jungle like having a bear grylls moment with it,  or a voyage at a sea on where you are relied on a lifeboat. this thing would be immensely helpful in those situations, compared to what we have now.
