E3 is one of the most famous computer gaming shows in the world. While various companies and platforms have had their own press conferences at the show over the years this year will be the first with a dedicated PC Gaming Show. The lead sponsor of the event will be AMD.

The PC Gaming Show will be held on Tuesday 16th June. That's the first day of the E3 show in Los Angeles, which runs over three days; 16th, 17th and 18th June 2015. As reported by PC Gamer, who are also sponsors of the event, "there's never been a better time to play games on PC". The gaming magazine teased that "reports of its demise as a viable platform were ludicrously exaggerated".

A site set up to promote the PC Gaming Show event at E3 says that some of the biggest names in PC gaming will be presenting and attendees and watchers will see PC gaming innovations that lie ahead. Enthusiastically the event description says we've never had it so good "PC gaming is in a golden age, with more powerful and affordable hardware than ever before, thousands of games available through Steam, Origin and other platforms, and millions of viewers regularly watching esports online".

Sean 'Day[9]' Plott will host the event helped along by a series of developers from studios including Blizzard, Bohemia Interactive, Cloud Imperium Games, Tripwire Interactive, Square Enix, Obsidian, Paradox, Devolver Digital and the Humble Bundlers.

If you can't attend the event in person you might be happy to hear that it will be live-streamed on Twitch. The event runs for 3 hours between 5pm and 8pm Pacific Time (UTC-08:00).

Woo! #PCGamingTakeover. I imagine with such an event we will definitely see a bunch of new things from AMD at Computex 2015 especially likely their next lineup of GPUs. Considering this event is not long after Computex so it's good time to show off things like Fiji. If done right these types of moves can make for excellent marketing for the company. Something that's critical for winning back market share.

If AMD, E3, or anyone affiliated with it, says that AMD CPU's are optimal for gaming... I'll kill em.

Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

Are we allowed to bring Intel/Nvidia builds?

I'm... Not too sure how i feel about this...

I would've preferred for it to be Nvidia...

Edit: as per usual behaviour of the forum your not allowed to state your damn opinions about ANYTHING.

I Never said anything bad about AMD. I never said they weren't good enough to sponsor a gaming show.

Nvidia has a lot more interesting stuff than AMD IMO.

They have SHIELD. They have GRID. They have GameStream...

At last. I hope more and more gaming companies will start to actually give a fuck about the PC platform... And by PC I do not only mean Windows. Also Linux and Mac.

MacBook Pro 15' 2018 (Pretty much the only system I use)

AMD is the perfect sponsor as they've always been proactive about gaming more so than every other competing hardware manufacture.

I just hope this doesn't become to one-sided. I'd rather have both nVidia and AMD sponsor this event. I mean come-on guys. I know you are competitors and all, but this whole PC gaming thing is made out of (mostly) you two and this is the perfect oppertunity to show you are both dedicated to the cause and what could it hurt? To just once cooperate on something that you both hold dear.

So there will be a new pc gaming show inside a show that is usually reported on heavily by many other pc gaming oriented shows and sponsored by a company that makes pc gaming parts.  Is this supposed to be a new idea or is it essential an extension of the AMD booth setup to look like an independent show?

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

Or 8350 + Titan X

This is a signature.

It would be even better if both Intel and Nvidia was there as well

Intel's not on exhibitors list and Nvidia has their own booths in the south hall (mobile gaming).

I'm usually a fan of underdogs, and again, i'm fan of the current underdog (AMD).

Why don't you guys give them a chance? You're acting like they murdered your whole family... Maybe they'll use this chance to showcase Dx12 alongside their new GPU lineup.

I'm rooting for AMD :D

This probably means they have something to launch. We know the Zen CPUs are slated for 2016. So that leaves new GPUs...

Can this forum get any more ''green'', than it already is? Geezee people... a really big company sponsoring gaming show. That's a great thing, not a reason to whine.

Born to game, forced to work.  -_-

The sad part is that this is just an event sponsorship. It's not like AMD did something evil and anti-competitive here to disadvantage Nvidia.

It's just a gaming show sponsorship, and yet people are scared.

So AMD is represented in Wii U, XBONE, PS4, and PC?

Well it sounds interesting. If they launch 390 series then. They have to, right?

Watching Intel have competition is like watching a headless chicken trying to get out of a mine field

Maybe. However I think it'll be hard to top the way Nvidia launched the Titan X
