7800X3D Temp spike

Hey,

I recently upgraded my PC:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 2x16GB 6000MHz DDR5

Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

GPU: MSI Ventus 2080

PSU: Bequiet Straight Power 12 (850W)

As you can see in the video, when I launch PUBG, the CPU temperature spikes almost to 90 degrees, and this sometimes happens during gameplay. However, I don't have any problems with any other games, neither Destiny 2, nor Helldivers, nor Cyberpunk 2077. Even when running Cinebench, the maximum temperature was 79 degrees. I've tried many settings in BIOS/Ryzen Master, but nothing helped with PUBG. I'm beginning to think that this problem is not on my end.

Has anyone else encountered something similar?

Check individual core temperatures with HWInfo64, PUBG probably uses only a few cores, which will get substantially hotter than with a all core load.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end.

I like to edit my posts a lot.

Is MSI center active or something related? I had an issue with it on my build that massively spiked temps

Check cooler mounting. Be sure to screw the standoffs all the way down. Don't be scared to screw the cooler all the way down as well. If you still want better temps, get a thermalright am5 contact frame.

what is the power usage during the spike and how many cores are active at the same time?
