iPhone Xs and Xs Plus Promo Images have Leaked

Well, they just pulled a Samsung on this one.

 

9to5Mac apparently got some promo images of the new 2018 iPhone Xs phones, and this is how they look like:

 

 

This basically confirms all the rumors about the iPhone Xs, the new gold color, the 6.4 inch variant, and the same overall form factor.

 

Personally I kinda like the gold color on the stainless steel border, it looks kinda nice.

 

Apple will launch the new iPhones on September 12th, so mark your calendars!

It was a gift (I wouldn't pay this much for a phone). but If it doesn't stop working im going to keep this phone for probably 4 years or longer... just get battery replaced as needed

The iPhone Xs Plus (not Apple's best naming scheme that's for sure) seems like a lot of phone to handle. Most people said the iPhone 8 Plus size requires two hands but now with lack of bezels I feel like this thing is going to be difficult to use...

The iPhone X had a bigger screen than the plus phones but was almost the same size as a 5s. So if anything it'll just be the same size as the 8 plus but with a lot more screen

You get used to using a phone the size of the plus, although it's still unwieldy -- I do have bigger hands though. I don't think the smaller bezels on the Xs plus would make it any worse than the previous plus size though and I'd honestly still have a tough decision if I had to decide between the Xs and Xs plus. The extra screen is just always welcome.

I think the iPhone X or iPhone Xs is the size I want, I love the wider display of my old Galaxy S5.

If you want to talk about unwieldy phones, just look at the Note 9. That thing is wayyy taller than the iPhone Xs Plus will be.

Meanwhile my iPhone 6s Plus is going to receive iOS 12, it’s still extremely fast, and isn’t really gimped from new iOS updates......you would think if Apple really practiced planned obsolescence they wouldn’t let their 3 year old flagship still be relevant. 

 

The only thing about this phone that I have a complaint with is my 82% battery. But I can get that replaced for $30.

Yep, phone launches have become so boring to me. I haven't cared for years now, hell if anything newer phones seem to just piss me off more and more. The headphone jack and expandable storage are becoming rarer and removable batteries are dead. But everyone will act hyped to pay a grand for their new phone with slightly thinner bezels and a slightly better camera, because "progress" or "courage" or whatever the buzzword is. I'm so sick of the focus on looks like it's a fashion accessory. I have no idea what I'll do when I can't use my Galaxy s5 for whatever reason. It might be ugly as shit, but it's ugly and it's proud, and it has features I love that are becoming increasingly rare.

 

(Also, I understand we've pretty much hit a wall in terms of how much a phone can improve, but that doesn't change my feelings on the matter.)

Agree, iPhones do tend to last. I was using a 3GS in 2015 and actually enjoyed the experience. Sure it was slow, but it felt stable and was reliable.

Good point actually, modern phones are getting more and more similar with less distinguishable features. This is a big issue for mid-range Android phones, which includes companies like HTC, Motorola and Sony. If they can't introduce innovative features to their phones no one would choose them over the big players, Samsung, Google, LG  and even Apple.

 

Remember when HTC One M9 came out? Boom Sound? That was a great innovation that many consumers liked and it made HTC's products stand out from the rest, now there is no unique or compelling reason to pick up one of their devices...

I actually really like that gold finish. Not too in your face. I wonder when they'll ditch the notch. I hope the S10 doesn't have one. It's shaping up to be quite something.
