Note 7 exploded in hands of a 6yr old-now has serious traumas

Djole123

So, as you know, the Note 7 is a bomb, both specs wise and literally exploding in hands.

Today's victim is a Note 7 exploding in hands of a 6yr old. Just read this:

Quote

“The child was watching videos on the phone when the battery exploded. It set off alarms in my house. He is home now. He doesn’t want to see or go near any phones. He’s been crying to his mother.”

After the bomblet exploded, the child was immediately taken to hospital because he was seriously injured.

He now doesn't want to go near by any phones or devices.

Oh great Samsung, not only are you nuking houses, cars and individuals but also children. How nice and great.

9/14/2016: It's not the Note 7 that exploded, yet it was a phone from the Core series. That's what happens when you try and get the latest news rushed just to get seven f***ing pages on a hot news.

But Samsung f***ed up nontheless.

Oh man Samsung, you really screwed up this time. This will likely be a big lawsuit coming towards them.

I hope the kid is doing fine.

That's why every device that has a high capacity not-so-stable battery should have a "weak spot" both on the battery itself and the body. That way if battery shorts out it makes a freally hot and painfull sparkler but won't explode. Making devices like phones airtight with front and back reinforced by not easily breakable materials should have one strategically placed spot of weak material for just that purpose. Doesn't cost anything to implement such a thing but I guess most companies don't care about such stuff enough.

Exactly.

People are only doing it to cash in at this point. Samsung just needs to move that date up that they're planning on shutting off all non recalled phones. That or send an update to it that bricks it and all it says "Please return to Samsung for a new Note 7"

"yeah, like play on my GameBoy/GBA/DS/PSP! Or watch some cartoons! Life was so different back than!"

Give a kid a mobile phone to play some Angry birds or watch some YouTube, same difference.

A 6 year old was using a brand new top of the range phone?! Wow times have changed.

Or he was using his parent's phone?

Eh, to play games, I don't exactly agree with it, I think you should be socialising or being outside at six.

i mean is not news that the phone has been exploding all over the place, so why do such a stupid thing to your child willingly. I almost feel like they did it on purpose or they might just live under a rock, just my 2 cents.

The failure rate is like .01%. You'd have to test 10,000 phones to have about a 63% chance of catching just one. Plus its was just one bad batch of batteries. It wasn't an inherent flaw in the phone it self.

The battery is apart of the phone, it still needs to be checked. It doesn't matter how rare it is, if it happens, it needs to be stopped.

If it wasn't a kid, I'd call natural selection. Who are these parents who not only give an $800 phone to a six year old but give one that is known to explode and has been all over the news? There is no excuse. This is pretty much entirely the parents' fault.

I give my kids my phone to play with all the time.  Kids love it.  The blame lies solely on Samsung who should have done more to communicate the recall.

Its not really Samsung's fault in all this. Samsung just happened to be using a bad battery. They are doing EVERYTHING in their power to stop it but if idiots don't want to return the phone and get a less explosive phone for a while. Then it's on them.

This has been going on for how long now? I'm sure even people in back woods swamp waters that live off the grid know about it at this point. Period, I ordered the phone and my order was placed on hold over this recall. I placed my order 8-30-16. So 2 weeks people have had a chance to come in, get a replacement, or even return the motherfucker.

No they choose to let it hurt their children, burn down their car, damage a hotel room.  Samsung should just say "Yea we recalled it, you've had 2 weeks and if its not back in by now, we're assuming you choose to waive all rights in litigation"

Every time I hear something about the Note 7, the more I wonder how Samsung's ever gonna recover from this. The Galaxy Note line's reputation is tarnished, probably forever.

Too bad the media don't put the recall on the front page, instead we get bs crap about celebrities.
