Welp, I'm dumb.
Turns out I don't need that board that I bought, so I'm taking my $60 back.

Want to know what it was?
It was a bad optical drive.

I can't express my frustration and amazement through this.

Thankfully there was one at Goodwill for $2.

Logitech G703 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse

Got it for $44.99, thanks to Amazon's $15 stupid bait promotional credit, on top of the Logitech G703 being 40% off on Amazon right now!

Don't worry about Amazon's delivery time estimate, not sure really why they're claiming it'll arrive in a month's time?

I ordered mine at the start of this week, and it arrived on my doorstep today. 😁

...It's a mouse.

IDK what else to say. I'm a keeb person, not a mouse person, lol. 😆

Matte black matches the color scheme of my desk setup very nicely, I suppose?

Interestingly enough I was able to Unbox and lift the TV onto my TV Stand without a problem, I saw how Linus handles expensive LG OLEDs so I knew it wouldn't be a problem to do it yourself since it's actually extremely sturdy and well built.

Specs:

55", 4K (3840 x 2160 Pixels), HDR 10 certified, Dolby Vision, HLG, VRR so 120Hz Nvidia G-Sync capable, OLED with perfect blacks, 4x HDMI 2.1 48Gbs Bandwidth, LG webOS, Google Assistant, Alexa and Homekit ready.

I needed a Zen 2 CPU on a whim and that meant that it wasn't gonna be a value packed one, either. Ended up walking out of GigaParts with an AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT.

Here's the final product of my PC all thrown together.

image0.jpg

Sorry for the mess of cables, I shuffle through a lot of shit so it's just about necessary. Plus testing my sound card meant that it was even messier than usual.

Running to grab the CPU was an adventure, but one that's better than my 1700X even when I had to downclock (and mess with voltages on) my 3800XT to keep its temperatures in line. I oughta grab a new cooler sometime so I can just blast it at full clocks, but for now, my Cryorig H7 suffices under heavy Handbrake testing.

But so far? So good! It's been speedy and relatively decent overall, even considering that every PCI-Express slot on my board is filled. Oh and the sound card is fucking amazing, too: I bought it for PlayStation 2 audio capturing and it's far more than sufficient for that task. Go ahead and ask me anything else if ya got questions.
