Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

If you want something a bit more grown up that's still fun then they make a good shout. Definitely more fun than the Golf R or pre-FL A45 AMG I tested it against at the time. I understand the later AMGs are better but I couldn't forgive the harsh ride and dimwitted gearbox of the one I tested.

Driven a few VW Rs (couple golfs and a T roc)

They're nice but find them a bit boring. Havent driven an A45 but have done a FL RS3 and that thing was nuts but similarly with the golf it just seemed a bit of a traffic light drag racer. Always been keen on the BMs and theyre a familiar platform for me

Needs money for car parts :P

Yeah they're all very capable and competent but a bit inert. Don't need to worry about that in an M140i, I can powerslide out of my drive if I want to...

Hey everyone, just found this thread and hoping I can join in :)

I've been into cars for a long time and in particular I like classic muscle/domestic. In particular I like my Mopars but can definitely appreciate the work of others haha.

Planning on picking this up later this week... Has nice 5 spokes on it now which I like more than what's on it in this pic.

1991 Shelby (Chrysler) Daytona. 2.5L turbo, forged pistons, t2 rods, ported head I think with bigger valves, ported manifolds t3/t4 hybrid turbo, cam, huge front mount charge cooler, fwd performance stage 5 computer, +40 injectors, walbro 255L/hr pump, eibach springs, koni adjustable shocks, A568 5 spd with a LSD. Engine has at most 1000kms on it, built probably 6 years ago but has largely sat. My buddy bought it and we did the valve seals as they were leaking with it having sat so long. He's buggered his knee though and finds the clutch too heavy so I'm gonna buy it off him 😁

Yeah not shrunk up yet, might add something to fill it out a little if it doesn't.

Alcantara is grippy AF on my clothes when I sat in just the back done before I pulled the bottom. I like it. Looks close enough to stock no one will bat an eye.

I like it. Doesn't look too bad either. Guess I'll get my seat covers from them, then.

Yeah. The 80s/90s turbo dodges seem to be fairly unknown and as a result aren't very sought after by anyone not in the know. They make lots of torque, the 8 valves actually make more torque than horsepower and they respond well to mods and can make pretty decent power. The Turbo III is the most sought after with a Lotus 16v head. They're turbocharged and intercooled and stock rated 224hp and I think 217lb ft in 1991-93. I've seen those built well over 600hp.

modern ecu’s adjust for this sort of thing. You just get a bit less power *shrug*
