Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Yeah!! Initially I didn't like Baku because of all the right hand corners but it's given us more exciting racing than most of Tilke's tracks in just two years! Not bad for a temporary circuit that six weeks ago was exposed cobblestones.

It's going to be a season to watch for the racing, finally. Loved the redbull scrap while it lasted. Sainz had a good go at them too; gutted for Hulk, especially since its the same part of the track he crashed out at last year. Dude must have a serious mental block at this point but I hope he pulls through. LeClerc had a great race as well.

With four laps to go he inherited the lead after Vettel locked up going into T1, giving Merc a potential 1-2 after Ferrari were beating them on pure pace. Within a lap he runs over a piece of debris from a previous incident that was squarely on the contact patch of his right rear tire causing it to delaminate on a straight, nearly destroying the back end of the car. His race was near faultless with no real major talking points and was two laps from winning the Baku GP.

It was a pretty bad weekend for the Fins. Raikkonen had a hilarious weekend. Made it into Q3 but had a massive powerslide on his last quali lap, so he didn't place very high. Start of the race, shunts a Force India and gets sent to the back of the field. Spends most of the race nowhere near the front because he cant get temp into his soft tires. Ends up finishing P2 because everyone ahead of him crashes (probably only passed 2 cars on track). Ferrari strategy team like ???

Whats the status of the Nike swap?

those are the ones from Last season, they were pretty good on the track but thinking I might trying something different for next season, didn't put them back on, just running a set of Vans for daily.

Finally got the rear shocks Friday (I've been waiting a month) Will be looking to have everything installed this weekend. My friend is dead set on having either a shop do the springs compressions or do the whole thing themselves. I'm inclined to have them do the springs only (have to reuse the top hat on the stock struts)

lol I was watching PWC over Formula D. Alvaro Parente had another big off, this time not his fault at all. The second of the team's three chassis written off, this time massive rear end damage. I dont think the previous chassis has even started repairs yet.

Cause I got new ones! (The ones shown next to the shock) also have the 17" wheels for my snow tires, so this is just a third set thats not needed. It's entirely factory though including Eagle F1's and TPMS sensors so I'm trying to get $800 out of em.

Not car related, but I got the greenlight from the mothership to start the process of ordering new PCs for our engineering dept. Getting quote requests sent out today.

Looking for i7-8700 or xeon equivalent, 32GB of RAM, 512GB SSDs, and Quadro P4000s.

Based on the quotes I've gotten so far, they're around $3k/machine.

Currently running i5-3570s, 8GB of RAM, 128GB SSDs, and Quadro K2000s.

why not keep them for when you probably have to sell the car for reasons? next owner might like the stock wheels you never know.

I feel like wheels and tires are less of a resell concern than the exhaust, FMIC, intake, etc (all of which i still have) but I plan on owning this car for a while.

I was gonna say should probably keep the originals in case you need to sell the car but I guess for what it is... that shouldn't be much trouble anyway.

and if you really need to get originals can probably find them for cheapish... I just know some people *like* cars to be factory so I always try to make things reversible when I do things...
