Budget (including currency): $2000 AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games:the last of us, assassins creed, baldur's gate at a suitable resolution for my current monitor LG 34WP65C 3440x1440 160Hz. replace my old rig for home office work etc.

Other details this rig is to replace my old desktop (2018 Intel i5-8600 CPU  8GB Ram Nvidia GTX 960), monitor LG 34WP65C 3440x1440 160Hz keyboard and mouse from this existing machine is suitable for use in the short to middle term so no peripherals to be included in the above price. Australia has end of financial year 30 June 2024. there are "deals" on some components leading up to end of financial year so would like to take advantage of those. I would like a small form factor and like the look of the fractal terra (note the kids are growing and we are going to need three places to sit in the study. the idea is to keep my my old rig which is a mid tower and is elevated off the floor under the desk. the small form factor will be on the desk my work laptop is also on the desk. )

Currently have these items spec. the issue is there is no video card in here at the moment  there is a second hand RX 6700XT 12gb on Facebook for $450 also no cooler is the stock cooler with the AMD CPU adequate?

If you have the budget, and it seems like you do, you can go X3D:

PCPartPicker Part List: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/JCd6wg

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor  ($575.00 @ BPC Technology)
CPU Cooler: Deepcool AK400 66.47 CFM CPU Cooler  ($34.00 @ MSY Technology)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650I AX Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard  ($279.14 @ Amazon Australia)
Memory: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory  ($172.00 @ MSY Technology)
Storage: Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7000s 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive  ($128.21 @ Amazon Australia)
Case: Deepcool CH160 Mini ITX Desktop Case  ($77.00 @ JW Computers)
Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply  ($199.00 @ Computer Alliance)

Total: $1464.35
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Then since it seems like you are okay with buying used, I would spend a little more and go with a 6800 instead:

Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 NITRO+ OC 16G Graphics Card Used 3 Months warranty | eBay

That's another $549.99

Your total is $2,134.28 mine is $2014.34.

Also, as mentioned above, there are better ways to pay for Windows for less money.

The 6700 xt for 450 aud is a pretty good deal for price to performance. There isn't a need to buy windows, as there are cheaper ways to get it and you can also use the free version, with the only downside being that you get less personalization. Read this article. Other than that, your build looks great to me!
