Got stuck for a bit with crappy store bought coffee.  (Peets...yeah, never again buying that brand)

Found a local coffee place that was still open with restricted hours.  So, nab about an one pound bag.

Just some necessity items and a hair dryer specifically bought for the dbrand skin application on the Switch Lite:

Everything has arrived except for the Hair dryer and the LogiLink Screenwipes, those two are gonna arrive tomorrow.

I don't wanna use one of the Hair dryers we already have because that would be disgusting and this one was dirt cheap anyways.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

Got two pairs of earpads for my Grado GS1000 as the original Grado pads were disintegrating before my eyes. Ordered two pairs, a larger GS/PS10000 series compatible ones and a pair of smaller SR series compatible ones. Decided to try the latter first.....

It must have been expensive! North Americans jack the price up for "artisanal" goods. I remember spending $20 for a pound of beans in Alberta... It was barely worth it, but still worth it. Going to Tim's 10 times would have costed the same but the coffee would have been half as good.

Now that I'm in France I pay 1/3 the price for specialty beans. And I know I store brand which sells specialty coffee for half as much. And it's *almost as good. It just lacks that overwhelming chocolaty fruity punch you get from the top shelf stuff.

Expensive?  The whole bag was only 14 bucks (Florida, no tax on food and similar).

I don't really consider that expensive to myself.    And on base, there are some whole bean brands that can be had for around 8-10 bucks for a pound.

A 1/2 pound last me a good whole month, so comes out to around six to seven bucks a month for coffee.

8 bucks a pound is darn good price! 14 is quite expensive. But if you drink so little coffee then it's dirt cheap LOL

I didn't bother to take glamour shots of all the boxes, but here's my new PC:

IMG_20200408_200122.thumb.jpg.768932369d4e411518179359d43851df.jpg

I couldn't really wait until 2028.

For the curious, it's an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X running a modest overclock at 4.15GHZ, a NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super, 64GB of Corsair RAM, an MSi SLI Plus X399 motherboard and a Samsung EVO Plus 1tb NVME SSD.

All of it housed in an NZXT H710 case.

Overall I'm very pleased with it so far. The only thing giving me issues is the RAM, which doesn't seem to like running at its rated speed. Some manual dialing might help that.

Edit: Well, it wasn't the RAM. It was a corrupted Windows installation.

I'm unsure if the medium size is large enough. Would you give some feedback after you try it? And how hard to learn the hand-eye coordination with it.

I don't drink a whole lot of coffee.  Actually just got into coffee this year after someone advise me to try brewing coffee with a moka pot.  So, now I'm enjoying coffee that I brew using one of those.

And yeah, still way cheaper than say going to Starbucks every day.  xD

It was Jason, in the kitchen, with a monkey wrench!

I have a 17 year old Aeron chair that needs repair; the gas piston has finally died.  Getting the original one out of the chair is a combination of big ass wrench, and a sledge hammer.  I already own the sledge, just needed the wrench.

That is NOT a monkey wrench. It is a pipe wrench, sometimes called a Stillson. A pipe wrench has serrated jaws and the movable jaw is design to be able to flex a little so it will tighten down on a pipe or pipe fitting.

A monkey wrench is similar but the jaws are usually smooth and the movable jaw doesn't flex like a Stillson's will. It's an early version of an adjustable open end wrench (often called a Crescent wrench) designed for use with square nuts and bolt heads. A monkey wrench will contact on only three flats of a square nut or bolt head whereas an adjustable open end wrench contacts four flats of a hex nut.
