As someone who has made more than his fair share of Ethernet cables practice makes perfect.

Some advice. Try to straiten the wires more before going for the crimp. You should be able to fit the outer jacketing inside the connector.

Additionally I see you opted for T-568A. The standard you will see the most in the wild is T-568B where-in the green and orange pairs are swapped. Technically color order doesn't matter so long as its in the same order on both ends but standards are standard.

As far as the standard goes, I just went with what it said on the box

How old is the box? T-568A still has its place in the world today but most new installations follow T-568B.

I actually decided to look it up. It appears some government or other contract work can mandate the use of T-568A but it's mainly for legacy use.

  4. i get the odd feeling this person is trying to power a 3080 or something similar but couldn't have been bothered to buy 1 decent GPU. alternatively, it's probably thermi in which case no loss of valuable components would occur
  5. pardon... but why do you have multiple PSU's in one system?
  6. F in the chat for Facebook

  7. Ya'll ever have that moment when you realize you've partially pulled the PCIE slot out of a 380 dollar motherboard? yeah me neither... probably.

      What did you kill?

I'm assuming that the "probably" means that he could also accidentally push the motherboard away from the PCIe slot but he's not completely sure which option happened.

      Either way... ouch.

Reminds me of the fact one of my mobo's USB3.0 header is populated by the previous case's USB3.0 front panel plug end which got ripped off. Stuck like glue in there and never managed to come out.

Probably in this case was intended as a sort of "admitting it without actually admitting it" fortunately it was only on the middle slot and I also have someone willing to trade for a brand new b550 board

  8. Well, rock bottom has occurred and i am now mining Crypto.
