    @FakeKGB It's inconclusive, i do seem to have a slightly lower PPD than i did, but that may have been a fluke number, as well as i did introduce a slightly tighter temp limit

    2 Things: First of all, for the nobody who was asking, i am not in fact dead
    secondly: Anybody know of a good Pixel bud's A-Series review? Google did that thing where after all the reviews for a product went out, not too long after they quietly discontinued it, and then released a slightly worse, slightly cheaper version that in many instances doesn't seem immediately obvious in terms of marketing that it's different.

      Seeing more and more of that lately.  I’m wondering what is driving that?  Generally US based companies are being caught, but there is no evidence it’s not an industry wide thing and only a few companies are being called out. If some companies in a set can get away with it and other companies cannot it nets an advantage for the companies that are not called out.  Bait and switch is an old old problem.

      Some advice. Try to straiten the wires more before going for the crimp. You should be able to fit the outer jacketing inside the connector.

       

      Additionally I see you opted for T-568A. The standard you will see the most in the wild is T-568B where-in the green and orange pairs are swapped. Technically color order doesn't matter so long as its in the same order on both ends but standards are standard.

      As far as the standard goes, I just went with what it said on the box

      How old is the box? T-568A still has its place in the world today but most new installations follow T-568B.

       

      I actually decided to look it up. It appears some government or other contract work can mandate the use of T-568A but it's mainly for legacy use.

      Not sure, but tbf it also included RJ-11 connectors as well

    i get the odd feeling this person is trying to power a 3080 or something similar but couldn't have been bothered to buy 1 decent GPU. alternatively, it's probably thermi in which case no loss of valuable components would occur
