^ Love the idea. I will bring up just a little bit more  F number, decrease aperture to get more DOF. And i will bring little bit more contrast. 8/10

I really like the pose and I think the black and white really adds to it. The slight blur to the background helps keep you focused on the subject. Was this a natural pose or something you had her do? What camera and lens?

I have 2 photos this time. I had to rent a camera and lens for a job after my t3i got stolen.

Rent was t5i and 50mm f1.8

These photos were both at f1.8

Dog was 1/80th iso 800

Outside was 1/1000 iso 100

It's 1100D with kit 18-55mm. Nothing special. And it's natural pose that I just catch.

@Victorious Secret

I like that image, nevertheless it feels a little distracting to me, the car is in focus, but some how the route wants me to find something at the end of the route.. If possible, i would delete the red mailbox, red always screams for attention.
I give it a BIG 8/10

Great image, I can't find anything wrong with it other than the lady in the background (maybe photoshop her out?). I really like the framing and composition. 10/10

Good composition, interesting subject. It's got some slight motion blur so would probably recommend increasing your shutter speed, and I'm wondering if a little more post processing might give it more life (perhaps a lightroom radial filter to drop the exposure around the bird slightly, so the eye is drawn towards it first). 9/10, commendable effort!

1/400 shutter speed so definitely not motion blur, it's cropped about 40% and I only have a 12mp camera so that's probably why it looks a bit soft (could have mis-focused on the hawk's chest instead of eye also). I'll try giving the bird a little more pop too. Thanks

what was the focal length ? often a 1/400s isnt enough at 200+mm without IS

^i would propably zoomed out a little bit just to get rest of the tail in frame and to show it is climbing from or to somewhere

other than that, great focus, timing, sharpness, dof just wow :) 9,5/10

Exactly what this guy said  :) I've seen camera shake creep in even at the recommended 1/(focal length) rule of thumb and I often double that just to be on the safe side, especially when heavily cropping.

Also @blackberi, I'm getting a Scottish highlands vibe from your photo. Where abouts did you take it?

Your vibe is right :). It was just outside of Kinlochleven, Highland, Scotland

Weater wasnt exactly ideal that day (or 5) but some of the photos turned out good.

I've never been to any-kind of car racing event. Fer me that makes the subject interesting. From a "photo" pov, I'd like to see some of the elements close-up...I can only imagine at this point your ears are exploding! 7/10

Here's a few taken on a 1.6x cropped canon. The last one with all the graves is really old, taken on a 2 megapixel camera. I put that there not cause I think it's good photo-wise, the subj. matter is just nuts. It's from the Philippines. 2nd largest graveyard for US soldiers (+ Filipinos who fought alongside 'em) in the world. Fer some history look up Japanese Occupation of Manila during WWII+death march of Bataan+Malinta Tunnel/Battle of Corregidor.

Nice, 9/10, I like the focus in the top two pictures, and I think the decision to go black and white on the bottom two does them justice

Very beautiful and i love the reflection of the tree in the water. A little bit bland for me, but people who love landscapes would like this 8/10

Here's mine:

EDIT: sorry about the compression, i emailed it to myself to get it off my phone which made it look slightly (quite alot)worse.

6/10

The shot itself is not very interesting to me.  That's just personal preference though.

It's not sharp enough though.  It's to soft and a little grainy.

^ The idea seems good but photo lacks good composition. I dont like how it blends all together front and background. I would changed the angle of view so the log would separated leaves and would use more shallow (hope that is the right expresion) dof.

^ 9/10, very sharp although it gets a bit blurry at the edges. most noticeable at the bottom half of the jacket, could be due to the arm is slightly back.

Ua1bWstl.jpg

One of the first shots i took with my Nikon D5300 and the stock lens, not sure what settings but it was better then my Phone at lest :D not perfect though. noticeable blur on the sunglasses.

Still Learning :)
