  1. I found some info finally that might explain this. It could be a Yogore/Mura defect. Basically wear on the monitor from use and high temps and not much can be done about it. Might disappear with time but my monitor has gotten worse with time .They don't really fade all away now.. https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/Yogore-Mura-defect-smearing-wavy-jagged-lines/m-p/7500237/thread-id/124039 Often at 80% brightness and I turn it down in the evening but that's too much apperently... Not too hot
  2. My Dell monitor shows dark lines in the background of dark colored windows for the first few minutes after it turns on before they slowly fade away. I don't recall how long it has done this as I only noticed it recently but it may have been happening longer that that, I don't often have dark windows across my screen. Super annoying and not what I want out of a reputable $600 monitor. Do you know what these are? This is a fairly new Dell IPS ultrawide and has been cared for well. My friend said it could be IPS tears or punctures but upon inspection he isn't sure anymor
  3. Electric skateboarding. I built my own board and it costs more than my computer. Sure is fun going 30+ miles an hour on a skateboard I made myself though.
  4. Games like Terraria, maybe Minecraft, CSGO, nothing too demanding. 1080p isn't quite enough for me really now that I have used friends computers with higher resolutions and crisper text and what have you. Definitely not as noticeable with a small laptop screen but I want to give it a go. I had hoped this would be within budget but I might be able to spend a bit more, maybe post Thanksgiving sales will help.
  5. I haven't really been following laptops or computer hardware lately and need some advice. I need a laptop suitable for moderate Excel while at work and light gaming on the side when I'm home or on the go. SSD is a requirement even if it's not very large, and a resolution higher than 1080p is a must. I would like a metal construction but know that's where things start to get costly. Not really into the "gaming" look of most laptops and would prefer a clean simple design. Budget is $1000 but there's wiggle room. Thanks my dudes.
  6. And the switch + some ethernet cables would be all I need to set up a network?
  7. This thanksgiving me and a few family members are going camping out in the desert and want to play a few games like Terraria and such together. Since there's probably no 4g internet out there would setting a phone as a hotspot work? I get that we wouldn't be able to go online but can we still connect and play?
  8. Ducky or if you have the money, HHKB. Avoid all the "gamery" keyboards as they often have non standard bottom rows, some have crappy switches, and not stealthy. r/mechanicalkeyboards can help you out alot in this respect. What switch type are you looking for? Linear? Tactile? cherry? Alps? That's the first thing to look for and see what you want. If you have no idea you can always head down to BestBuy and try out their show boards, although I'm pretty sure it's just Razer switches, Logitech ones, and Cherry browns.
  9. When taking screenshots in The Witcher 3 with ANSEL at high resolutions everything seems slightly blurred. If you zoom in a lot and then back out quickly you can see the quality increase until it refreshes that part of the picture. Any ideas of what's going on here? I can upload some screenshots when I get home if need be. Thanks for your help.
  10. Make no mistake, I only come here when reddit is down.

Any legal action being taken by any parties?

      Scary tbh.

Though it doesn't look like the way you drew was really an intended crossing so I mean sorta his negligence but could be argued yours too.
The most he/his insurance might be able to do is get you/your car insurance to pay a certain percentage of any medical bills related to the incident.

  12. I dunno if it's already been said because I'm lazy, but power wouldn't be the problem. Running four of those cards would be 8 390x's l, and xfire only supports two.
  13. New psu, seems to be working correctly.

$100 for EVGA 850 bq. Worth?

Semi-modular, Bronze-rate, $100, I'd say go gold-rated and 750 (unless you really need the wattage)

He bought it at Best Buy and could not wait to order it online. -_-
