Apple could be releasing 5 new phones in 2020, including the iPhone 12

These size predictions were also backed this week by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who believes the current 5.8-inch size of the iPhone 11 Pro may be going away. So the 5.4-inch and one of the 6.1-inch models will be the lower-end devices, presumably called the iPhone 12. Then the more expensive phones will be the other 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, respectively.

It seems like my ass is leaking another news. 5 new IPhones are coming in 2020 so prepare to sell one of ya kidneys for the new 2020 IPhone and better make the right decision because there will be no turning back. I don’t want oled on anything.  The stuff wears too fast and has other problems.  I’ve got a 7 atm and it’s still working fine.  Might mean I’d want to update to an 11 rather than a 12 though.  Oled seems stupid to me.  People pay more for Apple because it lasts longer.  Oled doesn’t.  Probably one more thing Steve Jobs would have said “hell no” to.

Not sure why people want fiddling display with fingerprint so hard... FaceID is awesome and totally seamless. Only reason I'd want TouchID would be to have dual biometric protection. Face + fingerprint to unlock things.

I know for me, I don't like having to pick my phone up and look at it almost dead-on just to unlock it. Personally, I prefer FaceID because it has been more accurate than TouchID in my experience, but I think there are merits to having TouchID over FaceID.

It has a reputation of being more reliable.  Whether this is in fact deserved is another question

Have the 11 Pro, so I won't be upgrading for a long time. Anyway I do like the back side of their newest iPod Touch, maybe Apple can do something about it with their future iPhones.

I’ve had the X since the day it came out and have no issues with my OLED screen

My 3 year old OLED tablet doesn't have any issues either. Though when not in use it either has a screen saver up or is in hibernate.

They’re awesome as heck for like 2-3 years.  O is for organic though.  LED is forever.  If you’re going to dump your hardware in a few years it won’t matter.

Care to name those issues? The only issue I see, is it’s too damn good and I couldn’t go back to a regular LED screen. They definitely don’t wear fast, back in 2016 LG defined the life of an OLED screen as 100,000 hours of use, that’s 24/7 screen-on for almost 12 years...

And realistically a phone has its screen off for most of the time, so the screen will more than likely outlast the rest of the phone by decades. The panic over OLED durability is very similar to the panic over SSD wear and tear.

This is not the first OLED iPhones that title belongs to the iPhone X in 2017. The notch is also required for the array of sensors that provide the Face ID functionality and is actually not that bad once you get used to it as the left and right sides get occupied by stats like time/battery/reception which otherwise would encroach on a row of useable continuous screen.
