Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Seems to be the twin to my 05 Arc, mine has about 80K on it and has been rock solid other than some typical maintenance stuff. That's a solid deal as well for a Big T model

(2.0t had a smaller turbo, 2.0T had a bigger turbo)

The gas gauge on these cars tend to be a bit finicky, mine reads empty until I burn between 1/16 or 1/8 of a tank

These cars tend to let water in every now and then from the cabin air filter, either get a new gasket, or a bit of sealer on the surface and that takes care of it perfectly.

The radio you better love (The headunit that is) because it's connected with fiber optics and is nearly impossible to replace outright with an aftermarket unit, if you wanted an aftermarket one people take out the CD player and wire up a headunit in that location.

Other than those minor issues (Which can be taken care of in an afternoon) it's an absolutely phenomenal car, especially for the price they go for

Mine has never had a leak of any nature, 05 with 80K on it. Only issues I've had are typical maintenance things

A bit of update to the price too, $2700 now. That’s kinda irresistible lol

Clean that engine bay! Lol

when I bought my civic first thing I did was clean everything I was gonna have to work on. Entire engine bay, all the suspension (took wheels off and cleaned)

Hung up my third pedal bros

Traded in my 2017 Civic Si that's I've had over two years for a used 2016 Acura TLX 2.4L w/8SPD DCT.

Reason: commute sucks more now, I'm getting old and now have sciatica.

Driving is easier and less painful now.

Kids like the rear vents.

Wife likes the fake leather and heated seats.

I like the fact it was inexpensive and comfy, probably reliable.

Hey guys I have an odd question. Anyone used any headlight protection film type materials? Like the ones that are a clear vinyl that go over the headlight to keep them from yellowing mainly, but I suppose could also help with rock chips and or staining? Maybe like this? I put aftermarket headlights on my VW Golf TDI Sportwagen, and I want to keep them looking new for a while since they weren't cheap. And my car sits outside in the Southern California sun all the time, so just as any other its only a matter of time. Any brands people like? I know 3M tends to be a leader in vinyl wrapping and the like, but I am curious if people have other trusted brands, or sites they recommend to order from?

I used clear xpel covers on my miata. material is thick and you could tell it was probably going to last the moment you held it. the thickness made it hard to apply though.

10/10 2 years in the sun (I had no carport nor garage at the time) and still not one bit yellow. would totally purchase again.

I used clear weathertech covers on my civic, I forgot about the little headlight protrusions it had so I kind of messed it up. wasn't the best car for it (no wonder Xpel didn't make them for the car). Weathertech's material was very thin and felt cheap. I don't think it'll last as long.

That's my review of those 2.

Thank you for your comments! I saw that Xpel made some, and I also saw the Weathertech ones too. The price difference was rather obvious and I was wonder why the weather tech ones were so cheap compared to others that specifically do the protective vinyl. Looks like Weathertech is crossed off the list for sure. As a side note, their floor mats are really nice lol. I have those and they work great for the dirt road I live down and the monsoon season we see where I live.

Edit: Looking on Xpel's site, they do not make an option for my car. It is a rather flat style assembly, but they make like entire body panels. Looks like the other two options are my main choices.

bit of an update with the Saab, it almost sold. Thank god it didn't.

But my bank is being a pain to deal with because like I was hoping that maybe they'd accept my Best Buy stubs and the new stub from this new job but no they want all stubs.

So like okay whatever, I'll see what maybe the dealer will accept for their financing. I'll just pay it off early. Im gonna be able to pay it off with income taxes likely. It's just I need the money to get it now. Because I've been having a hard time saving because a mix of life and mental stuff.
