Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

I know this is a bit of a stretch but has anyone here replaced a coolant temperature sensor on a Fiat Grande Punto with the 1.3L Multijet I4 engine?

Reason is that I tried to do one of these at college today but struggled. The connector required a modification to a small pick in which it had to be bent at 90 degrees to push on the clip, is there an easier way of doing this?

Thanks in advance

The RS styled bumper would be fitted for the ST exhaust like the example above. This way any ST exhaust (stock or aftermarket) could work with the replacement. There's a few places that sell them, Maxton and SS-Tuning being the two I find most often. (SS-Tuning version pictured above)

TBF the only RS mod currently on my car is the wing. I've thought about standalone add on rear diffuses for the ST but I feel like a bumper swap looks better than:

yeah looks like it has room for the dual USB mini B ports instead of the dual headphone jacks like the other car you showed

Dodge dealer smoked the PCM in the Compass we took them for an update after replacement of the CVT.  Service manager told my boss to come tow the car and never come back, boss called him an asshole, got hung up on.

Waited a few minutes and called the parts manager he's known for 30 years..an hour later we get a call and they're taking care of it.

Got a letter from Honda. Corporate is really cracking down on aftermarket accessories and modifications after previously being pretty lax, obviously depending on the dealership and district manager.

That coincidentally (and ironically, to me) comes after I saw a picture of a dealer in Texas offering Hondata tunes as an upsell during purchase and saying they are still fully covered under warranty (no, they're not)

Oh and almost forgot this one, which OP said it was covered under warranty:

Theres gotta be more to the story on their side. My money is on FNG poked the wrong button and bricked it. Then again my friend at Toyota torched 2 PCMs in a row doing updates because their laptop shit the bed.

Either way, they broke it and expected us to pay for it (our customer rather) and that didn't fly. We drove it there and now after they flashed it the car doesn't start. Tried to blame it on the new trans....that we bought from them LOL. either way, their fault.

This makes a nice wallpaper :D

Went on an I-10 cruise with the Miata gang, such a beautiful day and awesome to see the supercharged NCs that showed up! Those things were QUICK! Gotta hand it to mine though, for some reason or another mine was the fastest all motor Miata lol

Picking up a Porsche 944 soon, might keep it but I'll probably end up flipping it, single owner and all service records! More money for the turbo setup, enough for my BMW ZF 5 speed and GM Getrag conversion to hold all that power!

Low rpm, high boost (high torque) killing them? Always seemed to me like that’s the biggest downside to off the shelf tunes for modern tiny turbos. The initial torque is just too high for the rods to handle

That is a nice ass pic ? 944s are classy. Either way you come out on top (assuming you make money on the flip).

Its not widespread, but yeah.

Pretty interesting though. Motor grenaded before the CVT.
