Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

they are decently reliable but parts are very expensive. just something to keep in mind.

Oh yeah I'm aware. But to say you have a Gallardo V10 is pretty cool. Or is it the Gallardo has a VW V10... :kappa: Though I'd rather have a TDI. He won't get one anyways, just a dream of mine to sit in a back seat I actually fit in. He bought an 07 A4 back in 2014 I think because he wanted a car that would "fit the whole family". He must have forgotten I'm 5 inches taller than him when he made that decision.

The reason why people toss their Audi when it's off lease is because it's also out of warranty at that point, and an out of warranty Audi is a liability.

Depends. The C7 A6’s are extremely reliable as well as most of the others with that same supercharged 3.0L V6 from what I’ve seen

the dual clutch sometimes offered with that engine might be an exception... idk about that one

Have you not smelt one? Used gear oil (even new gear oil) with 150,000 on it is something awful. Something about the added sulfur helps the axle last longer or some shit.

We dont tend to get them, I knew gear oil absolutely stinks but ive never gone out my way to sniff it whilst draining the old stuff

I've been trying to do some research as to what sizes the emblems on my wagon actually are front and rear. Want to convert it from the old Saab Scania badges it currently has to these

Those look really good I might pick some up for my Saab. I would suggest using some calipers to measure them on your car.

I actually flat traded my US spec indicators to someone in Sweden and we both just paid shipping. I guess the amber was cool to them since they didn't get it and vice versa here

I left the fog lights untinted for a long while and decided the front looked a little bland. Need to redo them eventually with some actual good film, not just cheap ebay stuff. I had also originally just plastidipped the grill just to see if the black suited it. Ended up properly painting it when I put on the roofrack bars and the tinted foglights

Just like the Saab, we don't get any version of the 1 Series with amber indicators. The E82 with North American spec headlights...I feel guilty for liking it but I dooooo xD

2013_bmw_1_series_angularfront.jpg.6ab109b9362ef4e24e8033a4ff3f1f55.jpg

tinted foglights is a popular option with the E36 too, although I actually went from Black grilles, to the factory chrome ones. I found that black looked better on my old, lighter coloured car, whereas the dark purple needed a little accent in the front, and the chrome does the job really well :)

P.S. those old style Saab badges are "classy AF". An old fella around the corner from my house has an 80's Saab coupe in black, with chrome trim, and that style blacked out badges...it's a stealthy barge!!

I'd love to convert my car to use the old-school BMW Motorsport emblems, but they're hard to get; The few people who do reproduce them, do so in very specific and limited sizes, mostly for 70's BMW's. Oh also, they're crazily expensive because they're normally large, and very high quality metal & enamel.

Just got myself a 2015 F150 XLT with the 3.5L V6 Twin Turbo. I consider it unfortunate now that I only have an 8 minute commute to work, and am itching to get out driving some more this weekend. It has a sport mode they carried over form the mustang, that's been a ton of fun to drive.

04 RX330, crank no start, finally found the cause. It wasn't powering itself on, not powering up the ECM power relay in the underhood fuse block, if I fed the relay power the engine light would come on but there was no ECM comms and no start. I need to finish checking the ECM controlled devices to see if any are shorted to ground or power that could have smoked that transistor, I suspect it may be the driver for the ECM power relay though. It got so hot to smoked the processor on the other side of the board too, which is pretty awesome. IMG_20190219_163344.thumb.jpg.f886a825abb0c66318b95748bc604909.jpg
