Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

That is so surprising how it lost about 17 grand worth of value in 4 years. Like my corolla lost only like 10 grand over 7 years. That is fucking crazy.

yeah i literally ride in one every friday when me and a coworker carpool lol

I've driven it a few times.

completely different feeling and driving car than a miata. if that's what you're wondering. miata is more "fun" imo... brz is a better daily. though i do find it to be quite stiff even out of the box. both are great cars. just different. BRZ you can tell was designed to go fast. Miata out of the box is more of a cruiser actually. The suspension is softer than you might think!

I've driven an ND too. Can confirm it's still the same idea as the older miatas -- feeling-wise. though I drove a sport mode... not a club model with the bilsteins and stuff (which is what I'd actually get lol)

I was mainly wondering about size. The toyobaru was pretty damn small. Not quite MR2 spyder small, but small. The MR2 would be impossible for me to comfortably drive.

the toyobaru was more roomy than my miata for sure.

The ND is pretty tight too... but way better than my car. I'm having trouble remembering it's size exactly (it's been a while) but I want to say it felt a little smaller than the toyabaru.  I remember having less leg room for sure(than a BRZ)... everything else was fine for me.

1400kg around and thats really not that heavy for a modern car. Hell my 3 door Focus ST225 is around the same weight and its also pulling around a 5 cylinder motor, the fact that they got a AWD system in there as well as those heavy seats and electronics not to mention the magnetic shocks.

Makes you think, buy one, Strip it out and help it breath better what performance would be like.

I thought it would be FWD, and the RS would be AWD like the current focus. Is the previous gen ST not fwd?

thats what I'm saying, My one is FWD and 5pot engine and it weighs the same as the TTRS with its 5pot and AWD, so honestly the new TT really isn't that heavy when you remember what its got inside it.

EDIT:

Also the RS mk2 was also FWD, they push 305Bhp through it, most people me included take the chassis to around 330Bhp and it handles it very well for a FWD, yeah can't launch the car hard as it'll torque steer all over the place but same for a RWD and it'll wheel spin all over the place. On the track however the chassis even in FWD is damn epic

Ah. Yeah, I was surprised somewhat... it was pretty cramped.

Also had a chrysler crossfire which is a mercedes in the shop... that thing was tiny. If it wasn't an auto I doubt I could even drive it.
