Let me put it to you this way, bearing in mind it's a family car. Would you rather get the far safer car which is sold worldwide (thus proving it's actually safe), or the more 'reliable' one, with a worse safety rating, and which isn't sold in western markets? You looked at the Mazda CX-5? Nobody's forcing you to buy it. Different strokes for different people.

Taste is subjective. I think the grill looks great. The lightbar is very Audi like, and is probably there to break up there rear which has a few different lines coming from the quarter panel. Would look odder without it. As for the interior, I agree it looks like a horrible, cluttered mess. It's like they took an 2008 car and just kept adding and adding shit in. Which is kinda what they've done.... Also I think the third stalk is cruise controll?

Tfw customers send you pics of their car which they want photoshopped and the pics are like 96 dpi.... The thing with BMW is that when the Bangle-era cars were released, everyone collectivly agreed they looked hideous. 10-15 years later and we're going, "hey those looked pretty good, and have aged very well!". So whilst I get all the hate they've gotten for their new styling, and I agree with it, what's to say that we won't look at them the same way we look and Bagle-era cars now?
