A: Lubuntu for things with little processing power, Ubuntu for normal PCs, and if you need to do anything else then it's best if you do the research yourself.

 

Q: Why is my Linux giving me x y z error?

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

Learned most of pc hardware stuff by watching videos and reading articles. The more advanced stuff required a bit more effort. I hacked up a z80 and watched online courses to learn about computer architecture. 

Now I'm trying to apply that knowledge by building a cpu.

thats exactly it man, Trial and error. 

 

For me I got my first PC at 6yr old. a P2 celeron 400Mhz and got a second one later (basically throw away PC's from my dad he has a Comp Eng) and it kept'd breaking and i kept'd trying stuff. just learnt to not be afraid to strip and rebuild and it went from there with lots of mistakes learnt along the way.

Mine was an AMD Duron 700 around 4 or 5 years old, boy I sure miss that old compaq. Now I regularly fuck with especially graphic cards, almost every GTX 980 I have found will do at least 1580 by time I'm done with it.
