i5's and i7's are still good for some games. Especially for Arma 3 which is hugely dependent on Single core performance.

• iMac and Macbook are PC's. There's no such thing as PC vs Mac.

If your "console killer" doesn't include a Blu-ray playback feature, you can't use it as a comparison.

Echoing the G502 complaints, but not quite. I despise over-engineered mice and peripherals in general. All those angles and exposed hardware may look amazing in your Deus Ex world, but having to actually rest your hands on them and use them on a daily basis is a different story altogether (I'm looking at you M65/G502/Spatha etc etc).

 

I went G403 instead, my favorite mouse since the MX518 (No, I don't think the 518 was the messiah of mice, I just have relatively big hands and the 518 was a perfect fit ergonomically).

 

Also, more gaming tech/development related. I despise the route many developers are going down regarding uncompressed texture assets and such. In a single generation, GPUs have gone from ~4GB tops to 6-8GB VRAM. That's cool, but that's no excuse for developers to pack uncompressed assets into their games just to call them "HD Texture packs" and the like.

 

Case in point.

 

• Doom 2016 Nightmare settings. Would I notice? Do I need the extra stuff that needs 5+GB of VRAM? Personally, not quite.
• Fallout 4 texture pack - 50+GB of absolute pointlessness

I get that the eagle-eyed connoisseurs might be able to discern the difference between 2 zoomed in static frames back to back, but when I'm ripping an Imp's head open while already admiring a beautifully crafted Hell that I couldn't for the life of me comment on as "needing a bit of a touch up", the VRAM tax starts seeming quite pointless.

Let's start with the worst

 

-ASUS motherboards are seriously overrated (probably gonna get burned at the stake for this lol)

-4K is useless, 900P MASTERRACE!4!44! (havent had the money for proper 1080p yet)

-anything above 60fps is meh though I'm beginning to shrug this off coz I just realised my monitor can do 75hz and its awesome

-Intel are assholes (though they have good stuff) not really sure huw unpopular this is but there you go

-4K texture mods for games......just why?

 -I love iPhones

-most eSports are cringy af

-Origin is nice

-RGB. Give me all the RGB

-I acutally understand console gamers (not that I1d ever bring myself to such barbaric measures)

-Linux and everything to do with it should burn in hell along with it's creator

-Mechanical keyboards......ugh overpriced loud ass keyboards

-FLAC Files are fucking cancer(sorry OP )

-Game benchmarks with Ultra settings.....WHY? ultra vs high settings make no fucking differnce 99% of the time

 

I'm sure I'll have some more ideas later.

So, what if it gets high FPS, it looks like jutter crap.  Give me smooth frame times instead.

Consoles are fun to play on.  So, the PCMR crap can go shove up a dark hole.

I'll never buy a curved screen smartphone (namely the Edge line) because I don't like the presentation of the screen.  I also have mostly monocular vision and must be missing something about the appeal of the edges.

Uhh no, I used to have one and it could only get 60 fps in csgo at low settings 720p. This thing is only useful on very old systems or as a display adapter on cpus without integrated graphics. Seriously, unless you can get it for 5$ it's not worth imo.
