are you sure you and i clicked the same link? because clicking on the seller takes me to the MSI store page on Amazon
https://www.amazon.in/stores/MSI-+Made+for+Gamers+and+Creators/page/1F3A1AC8-F774-4ABB-8DF7-9C72724ED487?ref_=ast_bln

looks like MSI removed their listing from "more buying options" , now there's a 3rd party seller, and that seller is the comment 3rd party seller for most companies though

The "Visit the MSI Store" displayed on the product pages for MSI products is not the seller's store. The "Visit the <Brand> store" just takes you to other products from that brand. It is not the seller of the item on Amazon.

Not sure why you're targeting MSI for it either. If I search RTX 3080 there's cards from other brands for similar prices being sold by third party sellers.

Overclockers, ebuyer and scan all had a few if I remember correctly.

I meant the FE card. As for those retailers, stock was almost nonexistent, and the first and last (at least) illegally increased prices as buyers made their way through the checkout process. Prices remain inflated even now.

no wonder you can't buy it anywhere. The entire NVIDIA Presentation was not actually about release. They were just telling a story about the release.

I have the feeling nVidia played us. Their excuse of "we had no idea about the high demand" is simply big pile of hot steamy poop.

They knew it's gonna be very popular. They probably had to rush because AMD or their investors were about to get really mad.

Are AMD GPU worth buying...I have 2070rtx but should i in future give Amd a try

AMD is always worth considering if they give you roughly the performance you want and compete in the segmen/tier you're looking at.

If you don't know much about AMD then sure I'd say give them a try one time and see how you like it.

So much for trying to buy one in Ireland so. Unless it's an FE I'm not touching it. Too much bad luck in the past with AIB cards.

I don't understand why back ordering isn't more common. Take everyone's payment/shipping info in the order it was submitted, then when supply is available charge the card and ship it to the next in line. Limit 1 or 2 per credit card/shipping address/IP address and suddenly who cares if the bots get in line, at best they're only going to get an extra card or two.

They released new gpu way to soon

they had to get them out

- before new consoles

- before AMD

If anything they started production too late...

Of course in reality they never planned to fullfil the demands, it's all just marketing fluff and gaining (keeping) mindshare over the competition.

best buy is the worst store so i hate this.

bestbuy: this item isnt available for shipping

best buy: this item is online only

Yea, it is simple. Get hired as a BestBuy min-wage warehouse employee to get access that facility. Then once you work there, you can now buy it online, and, as you have warehouse access, you can now get in and get your ordered item.

Wait... it says nothing about handling... so they can handle it... so that means you don't need to get hired at BestBuy, you can order it online, go to their warehouse, go to the front desk, and ask for it (show you order confirmation to the person). If security escort you out, go to Plan A above.

We talked about that before , I suppose, but I do wonder is "paper launching" a product actually legal?

I suppose it is because lying by itself isn't illegal of course, but if it [paper launching] is illegal then I have a hard time seeing NVIDIA actually convincing a court of their they had "no idea" about the demand bs...

But I suppose misleading the customer and preemptively "one up" your competition isn't actually against any laws, in most countries?
