Web based email clients need to be hosted somewhere - that means online with fees or at least ads, or on your own server at home.

Do you want to access it just at home or out and about too?

I am happy to pay if it is worth it.

I have6 Different mailboxes that I use an just want to have them all in one place.

I do on the phone but would like to on my PC and Laptop as well.

I do not want a stand-alone app though.

That is why I am looking for web based service.

As I said, I use the 5$ a month plan on Fastmail, I use my own domain. You can access multiple email addresses with one account, set up users and aliases etc..

You can also use software like thunderbird with it, if you want, it's optional, the web based email is nice, I like it.

I think this is slightly the wrong way around - OP is seeking a webmail client for existing email accounts, rather than a mail host 🙂

Why not? Why overcomplicate things instead of just using your OS's built in mail client or installing an app? Seems backwards that it's ok to use an installed app on your phone but not on your PC.

Not necessarily the wrong way. You can sign up with fastmail and not really use the email account you get with them. Just add the email accounts you want to use and it will fetch the emails on a regular basis.

This is similar to using the pop3 fetch/send email as system in GMail. You don't have to use a google email address to use the GMail webmail suite.

Because I want to be able to use it on any device I need. Stand alone app limits me to devices I own.

What if I self host it on a server?

Are you aware of any good webmail clients for self hosting?

I have seen few but they all feel like mail clients from early 2000s 😉

I checked fastmail.

It looks good, but it does not offer to show emails from one mailbox.

Like let's say I have gmail, outlook, work accounts

I want them all in one web-based client.

And fast mail offers that, but it combines all into one fastmail mailbox.

I do not want that, I want them to be kept separate, but with combined inbox view.
