Speaking of that and given the sucess of this event... any ideas to do another one given what Covid19 research needs a lot of volunteers? I`m already here for the long haul, but thinking in getting more/keeping more "casual" people involved.

We alrady run multiple events per year, 2-3, but you have to be aware that @Ithanul needs some time to run events for BOINC too.

 

Talking about that, Ithanul when is the pent?

Well put all my laptops on client-type=advanced and max-packet-size=small so that they would have constant supply last night. Woke up to this.

1. i3-370M  project 16412  base credit 3413 ETA 1.5 days
2. i5-520M project 16414 base credit 3791 ETA 1.25
3. i7-4600U project 14592 base credit 1405  ETA 8.5h 
4. i5-8250U project 16412 base credit 3413 ETA 11h

the kicker my main rig with the Ryzen 5 3600 has gotten nothing above base credits 750 and it has no limits on the packet size?? The plus side is I don't have to manage the laptops all day!!!

There will be the BOINC pent, and folding month, those two are locked in. 

 

Then there will probably be a folding summer sprint too and Ithanul will probably run some BOINC event outside of pent, so theres already a bunch of DC to go around

Ok mild curiosity here. I have small folding clusters running in Oregon, NorCal, Ohio, Montreal, Stockholm, and Paris. The clusters all run with similar efficiency except for Ohio. It struggles greatly to get WUs. All the hardware is the same and the internet connections are all top tier (in the cloud). What's up Ohio?

Here in my country cheapest one are from illegal resellers (1200 euro is minimum) and from legal shops, it's AT LEAST 1450 euro (f***** insane, I know, I hate that...).

I live in Ohio...it is a black hole for work units. I had to switch all my clients to "advanced" to get a steady stream of work.

look at all those nice units...also note i have let my 5700xt boost itself with a 5% gain in clock and power limit. and its churning through the 14543s a bit quicker now woot.  or the units are getting easier...
