Why does it show that most of my WUs are going to Default?

Look at your 'Active clients' stat - that shows where your WUs are going right now.

Thanks for all the info in GPU pricing! Looks what here things are still in reasonable margins given the state of everything. Will take some notes for when I`m not broken and see if something used what works pop ups.

In the meantime I will join my Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 since looks like seti@home finally stopped sendin WUs (but I have some pending one in the other machines to finish)

Ok so it finally kicked in!

Being completely new to this, what is considered decent performance?

Currently one of my 14 core machines (with a 1080TI) is showing 216328 points per day..

What does the estimated points it say when you select the GPU tab? With my 1080ti it should sit somewhere between 70,000 - 120,000 pr WU. The expected points pr day will go up and down all the time, since the WU's get distributed unevenly. So if a slot sits idle it'll go down, if everything is crunching numbers it'll go up.

I'm just jealous over your GPU WU's, haven't had a single one all day 😒

All of my folding slots have been full for at least 48 hours with no babysitting. Server issues must be resolved mostly.

Trying to get my Folding@Home stats in to my signature for these Forums.

However, following the instructions here haven't been helpful because I get nothing but errors when trying to do it.

Also, I've hit the 2.8 million point mark (78 WU), and I was wondering how I go about getting my badges?

But - gotta say been nothing but fun doing all of this, so it's no biggie and this in no way is a hot issue.

Thanks all!

Searched this topic... and it appears you got an anser... where is it though?

I second this,  I have had very little impact to performance and a huge impact to stability since reverting my 9900k to stock and my 1080ti to ~85-90% power target.

Long term stability will net you higher points (not to mention better science) than borderline stable clocks.

Stop OC'ing GPU's for FoldingatHome it will result in BAD UNITS....

Okay, note to self, whenever talking about stability, mention that all my cards are running factory settings.  🙄  I'm getting tired of being told to remove a non-existant OC* lol.

*User-installed, anyway.  2/3 of my cards are factory OC and only one of them has been unstable.  Unfortunately radeon settings hasn't been letting me adjust the clocks on that one, but @Bitter pointed me at OverdriveNTool to try today.

R5 3600, 5700 XT, AX370 K7...  and that's plenty for me.  If you ignore the masses of other parts I occasionally put together and laugh about.

The way I see it, the longer I leave folding@home running the less succulent covid19 becomes 😃👍

Still going to keep my CPU out of it. Seems the 9900k kicks out ~420 GFLOPS and my GPUs are like 13 TFLOPS each... hardly worth the heat.

The viewer doesn't work. But there is a github link somewhere in this thread to a viewer that does work. It takes up a whole lot of GPU power though...
