If there were RTX 3070s actually available, I would have bought one by now. Instead I'm stuck with my PUNY 2070 Super. Woe is me. I can't compete with the big bois.

It's kinda hard to say with only CPU/GPU. How much RAM at what speed? Does it have an SSD or HDD? How much storage? What power supply does it have? Will it set your system, or house on fire? What Mobo? Is the case a sealed box without ventilation?

The 2021 Snowpocalypse is finally rolling to a close in my neck of the woods. Water is finally coming back online, and I finally got to take a shower last night. Even then, I did not stop folding (except when the power went out). Mother nature will not hold me back from my destiny! I will cross the 1 Billion point threshold (eventually)! I will add another GPU to my computer (when they're finally in stock)! I am the (self-styled) Lord of the Southern Marshlands, and I AM INEVITABLE!

Just found out that Chrome Remote Desktop is a thing. Now I can manage my machines for free and without knowledge of the techno-wizardry. Just wish it didn't involve selling another portion of my soul to our greedy, sadistic benevolent overlords, but c'est la vie when you're 'poor' and not well-versed in the dark arts. Wish I'd known about it during the Covid-19 event and Folding Month. Would've kept me from going dark a bunch of times, but oh well. Edit: To keep Google from holding too much of my soul, I switched to a different VNC. Thanks to @Bitterand @LazyDev

I think the F@H devs need to work on some optimizations before we can really judge the performance, but good to know.

I might be a bit late in saying this, but I was really looking forward to the RTX 3070 launch, and the lack of availability sucks. The folding potential would've been fantastic! Meanwhile, my bank account cries for joy as he will not need to sell a kidney for now.
