On a separate note, anyone with iOS tried to use F@HMobileMonitor?  I can't get it to connect to any of my clients and their documentation is sparse at best.

Gotta say the minimum requirements are gonna be hard for me to meet. With so few work units going it doesn't look like I'm gonna manage it even with my computer set to accept units whenever they're available. Also the longer they aren't available the less often my computer seems to check for new units. Anyone know how to stop it doing that?

Where is he getting that idea from? I didn't know about folding@home before LTT. I don't go on the PCMR subreddit, and I don't really pay that much attention to Nvidia unless there's a launch going on

You can just pause and unpause the client, also you may want to set the advanced flag in the client to get more WU access

EITHER:

Go to slots, click the one you want to get advanced WUs, click "edit"

 

Click add under "extra slot options":

 

Type these in:

 

 

 

OR- If you want ALL slots on that client to be advanced:

It's probably related to Ping and such. but yeah, the Folding servers have really bad load balancing

Haha, not the intent.  But despite the monolithic output, removing your 24H average from the LTT 24H wouldn't allow PCMR to catch up.

 

Now if you joined PCMR, then we could start sweating!

I use it on my iPad. Out-of-the-box it will only work on the same network segment as your rigs. There supposedly is a way to get it to work with OpenVPN and/or SSH forwarding but I never bothered.

 

After about 4 or 5 connected clients it starts to struggle tho.

 

You have to have remote access enabled on all the monitored hosts. If you have it enabled just for one system already you'll need to open it up for your whole LAN or both the IP of your existing monitoring system and your iDevice.

It struggles greatly to get WUs. All the hardware is the same and the internet connections are all top tier (in the cloud). What's up Ohio?

Have you considered using a VPN, even a super cheap/free one for your WU PCs?  If your connection pops out nearer to a healthier server it may well help.
