Yes industrial 2000s in the front and 3000 in the rear and then of course their fans that came with the close loop cooler on the bottom. When I quit being so damn lazy I’ll move them towards the back because that’s where the air flows needed.

Don't give up. If the time-out between try to get an Assigment gets too long then just pause and un-pause.

As the servers are so overwhelmed if the completed Work Unit can't send the result to the Work Server (WS) it will then try the Collection Server. There have been issues with the Collection Servers (CS) not sending the results in but they know about this and have been forcing them to send occasionally. This is likely why we got over a Billion Points on the first reporting period today.

I don't think the 1.1B points at the 3AM update was due to them credited missed WUs.

The two updates before it appeared to have issues pulling data from the F@H stat server. 0pts on the update before and only 151M on the one before that (previously averaging close to 400M). Would have been 'owed' somewhere around 500M-700M points from the two previous update periods then with the 400B or so from that update it would give around 1.1B.

Today's daily score is going to be inflated a little bit by the 9pm and 12am score being counted in today's total instead of yesterday's.

Also guys we cracked 1 million WUs for the month.

@Macaw2000 is already doing this - Maybe he can chime in with the PPD on those.  I think it's about half of the V100 just based on CUDA cores at least.

I don't have a great benchmark yet. Hopefully by the end of the contest I will. Right now I'm either starved for WUs or get 2500-point job.

All this has me thinking about my fancy hardware of the past and how ridiculously underpowered it is today. In 2009 I had a Cray CX1 that was loads of fun to play with and I was the Big Cheese because my PC was 100x faster than anyone else. The CX1 was sold as a desk-side supercomputer and it literally was that.

3044021922_c39c53daa2.jpg.8196500422a0905588ef00bd0ede72d1.jpg

It was terribly loud and ran hot so I had to move it away from my desk. It was also very heavy.

Fast forward to today and a Cray CX1 would get its lunch eaten by an NVIDIA V100.

AMD driver crapped out on me and managed to make itself think it wasn't installed and the graphics card wasn't installed!

DDU -> no hardware detected -> strip down & re-seat -> try the Radeon Pro driver which was available this time and see if it has some stability...

Just what I needed when I was checking all was OK before bed to let it fold for the night.

They'll be just a bit less than half, not actually used T4's but it's not much different to the P4's I have used, with these you are TDP limited and they honor that limit much more so as they are only PCIe slot powered and must stay within spec. I had a server during last folding month that was designed to take 16 of them, I only had 8. PPD wise a P4 was between a GTX 1060 and GTX 1070, expect similar relationship with the T4.

Yeah I had one last night along with my CPU but that is it, haven't had one today. Currently only CPU WU's right now. My main R9 3900x and my two vm's with cpu only

Well that is 100% because we (*cough* I *cough*) hadn't actually gotten round to doing proper data validation, mostly because work commitments and also because the list was changing so much it wasn't really practical. Don't think it was too bad given it was first attempt at doing it, gotta love non-unique data sets though.... not.

As always, it could have been worse so bright side etc (ok just making shit up now lol).

24 hr avg is the highest no?  If we continued folding to infinity from this point, we would easily be #1 :)

Hm...5 WU that can't upload happened while I was at work. Odd.

Edit: Ah man, at this point even if they do upload I'll only get 1/3 the credit as normal. Lame.

Just from looking at my WU's completed, it seems my work PC is likely either off or disconnected from the internet (both common occurrences there unfortunately).  I am off for the weekend.

...Do I drive in to work and get it back folding tomorrow...damnit
