*Leaked* Asrock is making desktop graphic cards after all (confirmed with products links inside!)

Đỗ Đức Huy

Continuing with the tease from Asrock a few days ago :https://www.anandtech.com/show/12544/asrock-teases-phantom-gaming-graphics-cards

I've collected this from a Facebook group where Asrock retail representative and fans meet up and discussed matters. One of the rep teased the following pictures, semi confirming the existence of Asrock's desktop graphic cards. We all have been bamboozled with the denial and misdirection of MXM cards for the small form factor market.

The cards are quoted to be released in Q2 2018, no word on pricing.

EDIT! The cards are live! Best images of them can be found here:

Please...don't call it "Phantom Gaming". That sounds like some crappy Chinese off brand.

EDIT: I'm also surprised they look pretty ugly and boring. I'd think, since it's Asrock, there'd be interesting designs and colors, but no...

Confusing part is understand why not just brand it AsRock which is fairly well known instead of starting a whole new branding which indeed sounds like Chinese crap especially when the cards looks like PowerColour's entry offerings.

The design keeps reminding me of scam unbranded gpus on ebay. Just hope the logo on the fans is only a sticker.

Despite a few design flaws, all I will say is YES! And this actually might be my next GPU.

Because screw nVidia.

I like the design, simple, no rgb no gimmick design.

My GPU look like this

zt-p10500a-10l_image2.jpg?itok=68nsNo6J

So those design definitely not the worst thing ever.

Not sure why it took so long to get into GPU sales, I mean even biostar and ecs had GPU division, although not really popular choice for consumer.

I'll be the optimist and say I like the "PG" symbol they came up with and atleast they went with a white on black theme, but I agree with you EVGA and Zotac make the best aftermarket designs for nVIDIA. For AMD I do like the design of my Sapphire Nitro RX 460 although I wish they had made it a single-fan design.

Spoiler

Sapphire-Radeon-RX-460-Nitro-OC-1024-SPs

EDIT: Is ASRock going to be one of those AMD-only GPU brands? Kind of refreshing to see a gaming brand on AMD with the whole GPP shenanigans going on. I just hope Radeon can get into gear on the gaming side of things. Where's that incredible enthusiasm and innovation they've demonstrated with Ryzen?

Eh, I like the design, simple and effective.

Not sure if the name "Phantom Gaming" is a good one. But the real question is, will it come in a bundle with Phantom Pain?

Considering how much emphasis is going on RGB and case decoration it seems like a lot of the design for the motherboard and gpu are becoming more basic. Which im ok with because then matches with more things, or at least it stands out less when you try to pair it with something.

I wouldn't have as much of a problem with Phantom Gaming if they made it more obvious the brand is owned by Asrock.
