If you have a complaint, concern or question about any moderator action that has been taken against you, please send a PM to me, @Whiskers and/or the moderator in question, and we will gladly discuss it. All complaints about moderation that I have been made aware of have either been completely unfounded or the result of misunderstandings or miscommunication, but if there was a case of moderator abuse then we would consider that to be a serious problem, and deal with it accordingly.   C

I also drive a volvo as one does being norwegian haha, a volvo v70 d3 from 2016.

If LCD and CCFL... replacement backlights and inverter kits are pretty cheap

If it's an issue with the tubes those can be found for less than you'd think if you know where to look.

Now....
I know that's true at least for the older CB/Ham radio's, you'd think no one would have tubes for those but they are out there and easily found even now - I will admit however this isn't a radio so you have that to contend with.
If you know what tubes are in it (6L6 tubes as an example) you can at least research it and see what's out there and for how much if the set is worth repairing to you. At least a few will cross-reference with each other but can't say if that's the case here.
Maybe you can get it going again - I'd at least give it a shot.
