As a whole, i think the mods do a pretty good job given the size of the forum and the number of mods. It's nice to them actually interacting with the normal users, especially in this thread, shooting the shit and trolling, it makes you all feel much more human.

I've been on forums where the mods only pop up when there is someone to punish or a rule needs to be clarified.

Even mods are human and need a place just to "Let it go" without compromising their status.
Since I've been there myself I can attest to this because there is an expectation of them vs the rest but here they can actually be themselves and that takes alot of the pressure off.
Some places expect them to remain aloof and that's how it is in certain places. I'm glad there is a laid-back atmosphere here but at the same time you know the limits too.

"If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask someone else first"..... Nirvana
"Whadda ya mean I ain't kind? Just not your kind"..... Megadeth
Speaking of things being "All Inclusive", Hell itself is too.

100%. I do wish we could shadow moderate as I feel some people are intimidated by the Moderator badge or just automatically assume our answer is the right answer without question. I still get things wrong all the time and have zero issues with being called out and pointing out my flaws. I respect that and cherish it as it helps me learn and grow.

@GDRRiley

I genuinely love the fact that we can joke around with the mods. Really makes you guys seems more like us regular mortals rather than all-powerful beings.

Unless..... you aren't all-powerful beings *Dun dun daaaaa* Please don't hurt me

If you think I'm wrong, correct me. If I've offended you in some way tell me what it is and how I can correct it. I want to learn, and along the way one can make mistakes; Being wrong helps you learn what's right.

Overall I think the mod team here does a great job of keeping things under control. The mods are also nice people, or at least they're nice online...

This right here. I've mentioned before that I'm a moderator for a few communities on Reddit. For most of them I primarily just deal with behind the scenes stuff, such as spam and modmail. But one community I'm very active in is r/mac (I like Mac computers, if you couldn't tell). When I first joined as a moderator my user flair showed that I was a moderator. I didn't change how I interacted with people once I became a mod, but occasionally people would seem a bit worried that there was a moderator commenting on their posts or replying to their comments.

I changed my flair to something that doesn't mention being a moderator at all and that stopped happening. Now I only distinguish my own comments or posts when there's a need to do so, such as pinning a reminder comment on a hot thread or posting discussion threads. So far this has worked excellently for me.

Good job mods, and keep up the good work.

As if there were girls on the internet.

†

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

Cry havoc and let slip the Togs of war.  (Signature V3)

7.2/10, 0.2 above average

Tomorrow has the potential to exceed 8, but that’s every school day and I have no control over it

It’s also 8-8.5/10 or 272749291/10 if it exceeds 8 otherwise max I’m getting is 7.7/10 or so

I'm an IT major at a school whos program sucks. its all software with 0 hardware class even being offered,
and we get forced to learn things like Assembly programing, HTML for the web and more classes not at all tied to IT.

right now though I've just got an intro to UNIX class that I've just fallen behind on labs that I need to do but the effort isn't there.
