Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Funny thing is, I have no idea how you'd cut one of those keys. They would clog up the bit.

The new civic keys are stainless steel. We have to retrofit our key machine to support it, and we are waiting on the key software to get updated.

I have aligned the rearend to the frame, I have to change the bushings that connects the rear axle to the leafspring but I'm on a  3 weeks business trip  so all I can do is look at my pictures, everyday is itching my fingers lol.

Wheels are not connected, I'm waiting for Model A to model T adapter plates.

It's not a good picture but this is the flywheel, clutch/transmission.

This needs a good checkup before I can assemble it to the engine and then put it in the frame to connect the driveshaft.

Then I get to give it a go to start .

Apparently GM 3.6’s have pretty tough timing chain jobs. It kinda looks like that Audi V8 that everyone points their finger at as far as complicated timing setups go

With marked links they aren't bad. I gotta do a fit timing job whenever we get the parts because the owner goes 20k miles on an oil change "because its 20k mile oil!!!"

Well grats.. you saved some money on oil changes, now your car sounds like a lawn mower going over a gravel pit for 5 seconds from a cold start. Now you are $1.5k poorer.

The older Buick 3.8L engines have a much simpler setup.  🙂  Took this during the top end rebuild on my '87 Buick a few years ago.

Step one, remove engine. Step 2 get timing tools from Freedom Racing.

Yeah, it's quite different.

Here's a video I did this summer, the starting procedure on a 1911 model T.

Edit:

That clicking/clacking sound is the sound of the trembling coils, there is 4 of them, one to each cylinder.

They get charge from magnetos on the flywheel that's passing over copper spools when its running,  making current go to the "distributor" and then to the trembling coil and from there it goes to the sparkplug, it runs without a battery.

That's almost identical to the 40v Audi V8 timing chain that usually ends up being an engine out job.

My dad paid someone to do his front suspension control arms on his A6 so I wouldn’t have to do it.

they tore the axle boot on one of his axles so guess what I’m doing today 🙃

Not quite the RS, just an S3. Parents decided they fancied a change and with the current market the way it is the ST only lost £495 in the 3 years we had it! Put some down towards the audi and pocketed the rest.

It's crazy, I bought the 2016 ST2 for $21k, and I could actually sell it for that now with 46k miles.

Bonkers.

Pipe broke on my Mazda that mates to the muffler, I got a little clip of it driving and sent it to two people. Both say it sounds good, meanwhile I'm feathering throttle down my street in the morning so I'm not a jerk and driving with ear plugs. It's so loud in the cabin that my rear view mirror is a blur when accelerating. I'll bring my mic with for the phone tomorrow and get a clip of it to post here. Parts come in Friday but I won't be able to put them on till Monday/Tuesday.

I got a better one. Tweaker stole a cat off a used F350 v10. I had to do the safety inspection on it. Full sent it

Ignore the vertical orientation. I recorded it horizontally, but apparently anything below 60 seconds gets the vertical treatment because #shorts

Lol. I got an 02 Jetta I drive my kid to school exact same way. Who'd ever thought a 2.slow litre could be so throaty! lol. A tail light out, a front marker out and I can't get the trunk open. Plate sticker is almost 2 years out of date too. I have to January to get that sticker. It's gonna cost me like 350$ HAHA.
