I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

sigh :/ got to my boring class in school and was going to make my SD card for my pi but there is something in the sd card slot on my computer so I cant slide the sd card in far enough to use it lol..

Lol, good luck selling a car when you arent willing to put up pictures.

Also, no wheels? That's an inconvenience lol

Yeah, but the price reflects that. It's pretty cheap if it's in even rougher shape.

So, in case you guys haven't heard, the Porsche Boxster and Cayman will now feature 4 cylinder turbo engines (ffs) and the 981 "codename" will now be 718. Wat.

Porsche 711 incoming?

and i hate this idea. i love an engine that freely breathes on its own and screams as high as it wants, but fucking environmental radicals want to fucking stricten up shit. i both hate and love living in the 21st century. love it for the tech it brings us, for more power and convenience, but hate it because engines now are just being choked and limited to the point where we can almost have no more fun in a car. people are starting to see it less of amusement but more as a practical mode of transportation. this world makes me fucking sick sometimes.

Yeah I'm with you here. Damn motor law is coming.

EDIT: Attack the fucking rail companies and coal fire power plants. Bastards.

i mean, turbos are great, but just not in a factory car. They're better off being used in aftermarket applications, where enthusiasts know how to make use of them very well. and california isn't really mostly using power plants burning coal. they mostly use either hydroelectric, wind, or solar power, so the power plants aren't really an issue here. but the rail companies need to stop being pussies. same goes for the auto industry. at least make one nice naturally aspirated car that can scream. doesn't matter if it fits in an econobox, like the 2005 corolla xrs, i just want cars that can scream again.

I actually prefer them there. More horsepower with just a tune

but i like an unrestricted engine that can howl. turbos are nice and all, but in the end, a nice engine that can howl, even if it doesn't make that much power, is better to me.

yeah but you can get more efficiency out of a turbo V8... at least in my terms:

more power per % of open throttle xD

yeah generally you can view the 21st century as the start of the death of the car enthusiast as it seems to be going...

indeed. the 80s 90s and early to mid 2000s were good times for tuners and enthusiasts. now it's just really hard being an enthusiast in 2016.

honestly why do people prefer an m3 coupe over an m3 sedan? if it were me, i would much prefer an m3 sedan over a couple. it's sexier, and it's more practical with 4 doors.

Turbos are excellent in a factory car. You can have a wider power band, more power and better fuel efficiency using a smaller engine. The wider power band also means you don't need to rev the engine as high to get the power you need which means less stress on internals and longer engine life.

This also doesn't mean turbo engine's can't rev, many of them make plenty of power up top. It's just not necessary to scream it to get sufficient power and you get more "usable power" as a result. This is why the GTR is faster than a number of exotic cars that make more peak hp from high revving NA engines. Turbo engine have the ability to make gobs of power and make it all the time. That, to me, is more fun and enjoyable. :)

To each, his/her own. I still love a high-revving NA engine. Don't get me wrong. I just like turbos more. ;)

I'm the resident merc enthusiast so i'm a bit more inclined to like mercs.

And the 770 is absolutely gorgeous (To my eyes)  ;)

Some of them are slightly spoiled by the fact that an angry little Austrian started a war. But still..

Honda needs to make another roadster or at least a sports coupe. Toyota, Mazda, and even lukewarm Nissan have sports coupes. But what does honda have? Nothing. And don't say NSX. That's a whole different price range.
