I remember this guy!! He used to have shows on the Speed channel haha. I watched his show as a kid years ago LOL

Always loved that mustache. It's awesome.

So this is what happens when you try to import (illegally) a R33 into Florida, then proceed to submit an insurance claim for it. Not only was this incredibly stupid on the part of his owner, but now the feds have crushed the car he just dumped $20K USD on.

Shame.

videos like these make me cringe. i mean they can't just send the car back to japan where it originated? sad to see nice cars like these get wasted.

I did not know Koenigsegg was working on this, I knew there was some teams using it in F1 a few years ago but I haven't followed their engines close enough to know if they still are or not.

A few people in the states have ordered directly from the factory in Germany. Not sure what savings you'll see, but theres bound to be a dealer premium.

It's a $36,000 hatchback. Priced just higher than the most expensive Focus ST and on par with an STi, its main competitor.

But the RS has a dedicated "drift mode" that can perform controlled drifts, something the STi doesn't have.

but why did the second gen focus have to be so ugly for us? the europeans got the nice focus, while we were stuck with the piece of shit they called a focus.

That's just as bad as the 370Z's automatic rev-match downshifting option.

If you can't do it on your own skill with no assists, then it's just not the same (and kinda lame), IMO.

I really struggle with the idea of buying a car without driving one. The same reason I did not buy a WRX hatch two years ago, at the time there were zero WRX hatches on dealer lots in my state. Not one. The dealer basically said, you can cut me a $30,000 check and I promise you will like it...

Maybe I'm weird but I couldn't do it.

well if you're a newbie, it could help. and there should be a toggle button too, just like for traction control, if you don't want it.

yeah neither could i. i mean, it's your car, and you're gonna be sitting it most of the time. if you don't know how it would feel as you're driving, then i can't buy it. a test drive is always a must for me, so i know how the car drives and feels.

The STi has had a user controlled adjustable center differential for years.

factory radio with bluetooth via these cables and devices all tucked away behind the radio where I don't have to see or touch it?

I'm running a very simmilar setup. For the price it's amazing. The installation of the cable really depends on how easy it is to remove the radio from the slot. It took me about half an hour to get it done in my Golf and to route the aux cable into the glove box. Look for a detailed installation guide, so you know what tools you need. My Bluetooth adapter sits in the glovebox, as I would like to remove it from time to time. You need to watch out, because all of the Bluetooth receivers I had would shut themselves off when there was no device connected for 15 minutes, so if it's stuck behind the radio, you can't turn it back on again. Try to route the cables to the glovebox or somewhere else accessible and put the bluetooth receiver there.
