The idea of being exposed to personalised ads in private vehicles, however, may not be welcomed by every connected vehicle user; some estimates indicate that consumers have gone from being exposed to 500 ads a day back in the 1970s to as many as 5,000 a day today, with very few being relevant.

These companies need to experience their work flow interrupted by an ad every 40 secs.   Maybe if we develop some malware that forces them to watch a 30 sec ad before they can open an email they might get the message.

I could see this working in a taxi but not in my personal car. If a company wants to have that in their cars that they are trying to get me to buy then they can forget ever getting my money. If I had no choice but buy a car with this then I would find a way to disable those ads even if it means breaking my new car. When are companies going to learn. If you need to put ads in your product to get more money then just allow people to pay more to avoid the ads.

As far as I know a lot of people do not like ads even on the desktop. 

 

Also we dont need more add shoved in our face. I pay for spotify to stream adless music in my car but this will still introduce ads I am already paying to not hear.

Screw them, if I can't BUY a car for thousands of € and not be constantly targeted by ads even without using the radio then I'll buy a motorbike instead. Furthermore, cars should not be connected to the internet, period. I'd rather go to a dealership for firmware updates if that's what it takes to have an isolated vehicle.

Just imagine getting in your car in the morning ready to go to work but having to listen/watch an ad first before the car allows you to input your destination.
