Whoever came up with the idea to change the font to Comic Sans must be some kind of super genius. Definitely has an IQ in excess of 150+. Big props to them, they deserve a raise!

if you press F12 to open the element inspector, click on the <head></head> tag. you can disable the CSS rule. this will only work for your current session however. another option is to press F12 to open the terminal and go to the network browser. reload the page. scroll to the top. and right click the request that says comic sans and click "Block Request URL" this will disable it until you unblock this request

What happened?

I opened the forum site and the font appeared as Comic Sans.

 

What did you expect to happen?

For it to appear as the standard forum font, or at least the normal browser font.

Any other relevant details:

I checked my browser settings, it is set to Times New Roman. I looked at the Page Source code, and right at the beginning it says: 

<style>
			@import url('https://fonts.cdnfonts.com/css/comic-sans');
			*:not(i) {
				font-family: 'Comic Sans', sans-serif !important;
			}
		</style>

Right under the <head> tag of the site. Would this be a problem on my end, or a site issue?

 

Edit: When I tried to post this the first time, it posted, but it showed me a error page, and going back to the post editor, it said that posting is limited within a time frame or something like that (mentioned something about 10 sec).

I thought my phone was doing something weird or someone got into my system and messed with the font. Glad I'm not the only one. What the heck is going on this font sucks please change it back.

After April Fools, do you(devs) guys have any plans to change the default font for the forum? I've personally liked Inter. It was on the beta forum, but it seems to have been changed for 1st April.

I think its alot easier to program it to one time zone compared to 12.

They could have done it on the IDL....

I appreciate all this April Fooling, but this is the day I have to handle a LOT of pc upgrading research, like, the first time I'm using the forum in months and it's vitally important for the future of my career.

 

Is there any way to turn off the obnoxious fonts?
