I inspect military electronics. Just like others, I can't take any photos. But we build the electronics for the MK54 torpedo, cooling systems for submarine weapon systems, Paladin tanks, etc for various companies, including Northrop Grumman, BAE, and Raytheon.

I drive a disability transport vehicle. No pics, sorry, obviously for privacy reasons. I might be able to get a pic of the 3 types of vehicles in our fleet, mostly just Fords. We got Econoline E350 vans from 2010, some Transit 150 vans from 2018, and we're just now getting Transit 450 duallies for 2020. The E350 seat 6 plus a wheelchair, or 4 and 2 wheelchairs, the Transit 150's seat 6, or 4 and a wheelchair, and the Transit 450's seat 3 and two wheelchairs, or 5 and a wheelchair, or 7. They can be modified to seat 9.

Our alternative service runs 14 seat passenger vans, they can also transport two wheelchairs. So, 14 ambulatory and a pair of wheelchairs.

I've been a floor installer for the past 20 years. Mostly carpet but the last year was almost all laminate. The last year of working anyways. Technically I'm unemployed right now thanks to COVID and have been since March. There is zero reason whatsoever for the gov to shut us down since we were only doing new construction and my crew and I would be the only ones in the entire house. But that's California for you. We're run by idiots. Especially our king, I mean governor Herr Newsom the first. A man who cares so much about the will of the people he comes in and with a stroke of a pen puts a moratorium on the death penalty. Despite the fact we all voted to keep it. Then a few years later doubled down and voted to expedite the process. But none of that matters to authoritarian know it all lefties. Sigh... Thank god I have a good amount of savings. Texas is looking better and better.

"Technical consultant" for one of the largest physical security distributors / integrators in my country.

Basically mix of product management, tech testing, project tech support, project tech management and integration, some coding form time to time.

Mainly I do CCTV cameras, live/forensic video content analysis, face recognition, servers, networking, structured cabling and stuff...

It's a good work, interesting mainly because I get to some high security areas like prisons, bank vaults, power grid centers, police, etc...

That is a cool show.

What sort of transport? The statistical/planning side or the big roads and bridges thing? I was a consultant for 15 years before making the jump to client and have dabbled or worked closely with most disciplines in civil engineering. Happy for you to DM me if you want more info, particularly if you are in the UK as well.

I feel like more of the big roads and bridges. Currently in my second year at the college and still doing general ed. courses  (pretty much what community college is) and physics is a toughie.  I live in the United States. 😔

Senior software engineer. When the bank forecloses on your house, the loan servicer uses the software I maintain to pay the contractors to replace the copper wire you pulled from the house.  Plus lawyers and stuff, I guess.

I worked as a security guard through medic school.  Not a bad gig, especially if you do the night shift, so you don't have to deal with the public as much.

Never thought I'd hear someone say "night shift" and "not a bad gig" in the same sentence.
