Less than 300k points between us.  Curse you, Satisfactory, for being so entertaining!  I thought about converting my merc to an on demand instance instead of a spot request just to ensure I'd get it, but I figured I'd let it ride.  

Some nice fallout from this event: I have a dedicated folding rig now and another one on the way (good excuse to do some water cooling), so I should be chugging along at 4m points per day outside of events.  Might let my living room rig go as well, though even with power limits it gets a little hot (it's in an NZXT H1, so there's not much space for cooling).  And maybe next time around, real, live humans will be able to get the next gen cards and I'll be able to fold with one of them!

I can only imagine the amount off pain I would be in without filters, the one on the floor is from under the case while the other one is in the front of it. I have a board that my case sits on so it can breathe.

moved up 90-ish places from last year.

 

Upping my CPU in my main rig really wasn't enough to bring it home this time. I believe if I could have run all of my GPUs with full PCIE bandwidth and more cores, I would have been much closer to top 10. Alas, these darn PCIE risers handicap my 11 GPUs.

 

I just freed up some Zen+ parts (CPU + Mobo), instead of selling them, they may be rolled into next year's folding equipment.

@cbigfoot I know this is really late to reply but I really thought you had me. I had the one day where I only made 4 million points because my 3900x + 2080 Ti rig suddenly decided it didn't want to stay stable with the VRAM overclock. I guess it was getting tired. so literally all night it was down and I had no idea till I checked on it in the afternoon and saw it had rebooted... so I started things up again and an hour later it had crashed again. I had to turn the power up to keep her happy, and I'm sure the electric company will be happy when they send me a nice bill. But definitely well played sir ^_^ 

 

To everyone: it was fun. This was my first event aside from the folding for Covid, and it was a blast. Learned a bit about squeezing the most PPD I could out of my hardware. Hopefully our WUs help with some awesome science stuffs!
